I remember that railtour with the class 59/2 cos I was on it! Absolutely fantastic day! It was thought it was to be the last train south of BF, but no, another tour ran in October 1998 which was the final train!

When you get to Blaenau do you intend to run into the current Network Rail station?

Wonder if there is any progress ? I know that the reservoir cut off the link to Bala but what a useful line that could have been if it was to reopen the full length … I’m sure where there is a will it could be done… I’m sure a detour section could be made to get a round the reservoir …. Would have thought a rail bus shuttle service would be viable linking Bala and BF
