The constant changing of soundscape is what kpop has been most known for. Not sure what blackpink fans are saying but this song is right up their alley. Doesn't sound too different from what they have released before but different enough for ppl not to get bored maybe? It is rlly giving me 2NE1 vibes mixed with 90s - 2000s old school American ggs and Rihanna's pon de replay (yea Lisa's part quite literally quoting it hahaha)

This sound is very different from them and i'm happy about it. Other people that complain about it are the same people that would still complain if the kept they same sound route as their debut sound. I love 'Pink Venom.' Blackpink has always had different sounds from 'Boombayah,' 'Stay,' 'As If it's Your Last,' 'D4,' 'Whistle,' 'Pink Venom.' 💕

That string instrument in the opening of the song is a traditional Korean instrument. And that actually jisoo playing it. She learned the basic cords specifically for this song. I’m beginning to think that blackpink doesn’t know how to miss. I don’t think “unsuccessful” is a word they are familiar with.
