the main issue with modern music nowadays is its all about the hook in the music and having realistic so little people writing in that field why so many sound so alike many pop stars are only employed as singers and if you notice when they do start writing for them selves their pop career slides downhill

80's electronic music cannot ever be beaten because it was perfected. Late 80's had many good songs as well. At the beginning of 90's it was clear nothing better can be done and yet 80's became aged (not for me, i stayed loyal to 80's, but many my pals abandoned it) , so the hardcore techno and trance became popular, and it started decades loooong downfall...Until some artists, like Weeknd and etc. discovered 80's. So we have kind of renaissance.

This is a great '80s song by a topsynth duo. It's obvious that the women in ethnic Ukrainian(?) dress in the video have no idea what is being sung, but smile obligingly, anyhow! Neil and Stephen split up in '86 after interest in Blancmange started to wane, but it's good to know that they reformed and are still out there performing.
