Blender tutorial: Create alpha textures in the compositor

Today I show you how to create a leaf texture, that was taken by a simple smartphone. But we'll not use a 2D application like photoshop, Gimp or Krita! Instead we create the complete texture inside Blenders Compositor!
I show you how to do it with just a few nodes and some clicks! Beside creating the texture you'll get some insights into the compositor, Blenders hidden treasure!

Great tutorial! I can't find a few of the nodes you're using with 'Cycles' enabled - am I missing something?

Jump to the timestamp 18:12 in the video to see how to export the image. To save the alpha only, you have to output the matte channel of the Keying node into a viewer node or an file output node. You can also pipe the view node output into the image editor and save the image there. I have a second screen where the file manager appears, so you can't see in the video where I save it.

this is not a good demo.. you have set up an entire scene which we know nothing about and you are solving the problems of that specific project. So most of it has nothing to do with the basics of a dual sided texture in general. ugh
