First one is not that easy. Silverskin is what it's called (the skin connecting muscles to skin) and usually needs a boning knife to remove it easily. It never comes off in one piece. The fish filet is not truly done. Sure you have a filet but you need to remove the tiny bones located throughout the fish meat, too, or else you'll choke, hurt yourself, etc. So it's technically a filet but not complete. The watermelon one is iffy. You could cut it open that way to open it but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't open smoothly. It would be jagged. You don't get smoothness like that without a tool. The pancake mix wasn't beaten to a stiff peak or folded gently (the way it's done here probably would have collapsed the souffle). The pancakes need to be made in metal rings to get thick and round. They wouldn’t look like this otherwise. The apple wouldn't provide clear juice like that nor would it be a lot of juice. At most it would be pulpy mush. The chestnut hack is 100% bogus. Microwaves boil water content. There is no heating element to create enough dry heat to roast chestnuts. The pineapple one can only distribute any starches remaining in the fruit throughout the pineapple. Once picked, a pineapple doesn't get any sweeter. This "hack" is supposed to be for underripe pineapples, not to sweeten a pineapple. The coffee one is wrong. You only use this hack to see if your beans are stale or not. It won't "unstale" the beans. Once you get beans, store them right or they stay stale. The freezer burnt ice cream trick will result in melted ice cream. Just scoop off the crystals or do this trick & throw out the melted top portion of ice cream. You'll have ice cream underneath but you can't fix the freezer burnt portion. You don't want to just depend on the floppiness of your meat to ensure doneness. Please make sure you're temping your meat to the proper internal temperature. Trained chefs can do the feel of the meat test as a sense of doneness for things like steaks (well done, medium, rare, etc.); a good example of this being to press on your thumb with different fingers (or palm of hand as shown in the video). But for most meats, you want to ensure the temperature guidelines have been met. I don't want people getting sick or dying from Foodborne illnesses or parasites. Everything else here looks legit or I have done myself and can confirm. While nothing here (minus not temping meats) is nothing too dangerous, please be careful of what you watch and do your research before you attempt it or ask a trained professional. Source: Retired chef/baker and culinary school graduate.
