Gabe, the giant spike tree is also commonly referred to as a "tooth ache" tree. Chewing on the bark, leaves or meat of the tree will numb the mouth or give a tingling sensation. See Southern Prickly Ash for more info & we have them in Florida as well.

America media feels that all Caribbean/tropical islands should be like Disney World and that they should never have crimes. I’m from the US Virgin Islands 🇻🇮 and they say that we have the highest crime rate per capita. This truth is, all places on this earth has it’s dark sides but for the most part, majority of the people are not about that criminal lifestyle. People should get to know a place and it’s people before they let others cloud their minds with misconceptions. I thank Bluegabe,Kelly and DMFD for helping to bridge the many gaps between our cultures,lifestyles and the hospitality of their people.

I love this sir, I'm from Guyana and it's good to see my fellow Caribbean people hard at work. Brings back some good memories we do this a lot with shrimp as well it's more easier to clean them, Imagine if you asked them to clean crab they would grab a hard brush and start scrubbing, also if you're still there try to grab some squib. also I don't know if they told you but when we cook outside like that in the bush we call that bush cook.

This is what my old friend, "Waldron" told me about... If your going to Jamaica you need to mingle with the locals and get away from the tourist traps! You want Jamaica Jerk, hit the small eatery's in the country and the people there are hard working family folks, just like us! Jamaica mon!

Was just there 2 weeks ago, seemed super dangerous outside the tourist areas. It's a shame because its such a beautiful country, but some of the locals were too aggressive with asking for donations or pushing their services. Had one incident where a local refused to go away after we turned him down for donations. He just kept pressing and harassing us at the beach. It was to the point where a younger local and a french girl (both our age) came over and hinted to us that there are no cops in the area and we should get away from the guy. I suspect a lot of people are hurting over there since tourism tanked due to covid. Doesn't help bring tourists back to your country when you get shaken down by everyone for simply existing in their country. That being said we visited this beach shack for dinner one night and had some of the best fried chicken i've ever eaten in my life. Jamaicans can fuckin cook.

Jamaica is beatifull,I was in Montego Bay for a week couple years ago, and their mountains and houses there impressed me;but what scared me was drive on small mountain roads.I swear each time we crossed another car distance between mirrors was like a inch ;and in corners what the f...!!!!

I wish my home town in indonesia keep it like this, it is so natural and clean. But now my home town is full of mining, deforestation and they always keep the forest destroyed i am so sad about that. But back when i was a little kid it's so natural just like this video and now it is gone 😢😢

That spot on the river (white river) near cascade St. Ann where you caught the crawfish is where we do our psychedelic mushroom tour we actually have the bonfire part there. I go fishing all the time and never thought to look for crawfish there.. nice guys.

Old guy, me, went to Jamaica mid 80’s. Simple experience as we met some great locals during the resort tour thing. After that meeting and the trusting of our instincts, just woohoo! Amazing people and I promise. Never would the resort experience have given my memories. It’s an amazing island country!! The citizens and culture rub off and the food , off the resort offered trail. Fantastic. Eat what the locals eat to understand it. Great choice of destination Gabe

This is why you guys are number one. I have to confess that I watch Kellys videos first, but the way you guys collaborate and intertwine your videos, I definitely end up checking out Gabes videos too. And it is SO cool to see the connection of the adventure you're on. Its like a continuation of Kelly's fine videos. Gabe, you were already "top of the line", but the ability to see another view point of an adventure is so unique and awesome, is something special! Ive had a glass of wine or two, so I dont know if it makes sense, but if it does, simply keep up the fantastic work you guys. You two are my all time favorites to watch every week!

Ive always dreampt of going to Jamaica! You help keep this dream alive! Keep up the GREAT Videos...they are Never boring! I'd Love to meet you and your whole family someday and go Crappie Fishing or if you and Kelly and the Kids would teach me how to catch sand fleas...snorkle in shallow clear water at the springs...just simple places around Florida! I’ve watched several Jamaican Crawfish videos and always commented on how clear the waters are, it’s absolutely amazing plus your camera quality is 👌
