Nice DIY. For me, after doing the work and bleeding the fuel system, it took a very lengthy crank time before the car started again the first time. Up to 30s.

Usually two or three longish cranks.

Tightening torque for the valve cover bolts and injectors bolts, and also for the injector nuts?

Hay Das . Great info thanks . I did remove the intake manifull and it was so contaminated whit carbon and oil . I have a2009 X5 35d . 118k mi . Something what you recommend 👍

Can you tell me the p/n or link to the injector tool that you torqued the high pressure feed lines? I measured the fittings and came up with 17 mm. thanks

Mark Flahaut hey Mark. Amazon and eBay has them. Sockets are 17mm. For the X5 you need a custom offset bracket for injector 6. Check out our X5 VCG digest video part 1. But we connected on Messenger and you got some on eBay. Cheers.

How much would a customer pay for all of this work? any estimation?

I do not the book time. But the best do it in about 7-8hrs. I would say anywhere between 8-10hrs is reasonable. Depends what else is being done or cleaned. But shop would probable go by book hours.

I just did this job and now my car won't start. the error is 4b90. something with rail pressure. it seems I messed up injectors....I did vacuum clean them because I did it outside and thought some dust may fall on it...could it be it?

Martin Kulik did you plug in the rail regulator on the back of the rail?

@@alphadevyat yes did. but while I was removing intake, I forgot to unclip the plug under intake i think for swirl flaps and i wiggle it and it pulled the cable connections slightly damaged it. is it connected with rail regulator you mention in any way? it is connected however....

@@alphadevyat I tried to download latest inpa from bimmergeeks to do what this guy did testing fuel pump and rail pressure, but it seems that test kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9-qpat-2Nrapqc.html is not avail on M57TU2 335d diesel, or is it? it shows 4b90 error and starting rail pressure of 8BAR. I heard it's supposed to be 300...someone also suggested it may need bleeding, but I was waiting 1 minute 2x and both times crank no start and error code 4b90

@@alphadevyat how do u bleed the system after injectors removed? Bubbles won't be removed from tank fuel pump as it won't. Ppl using manual pumps which looks like nightmare and another reason to contaminate system

Actually a quick correction: Large rubber o-ring is F00VC38042, small rubber o-ring for the return feed: F00VP01003, and copper crush washers are: F00VC17503

@@alphadevyat do u need all three? I thought u dont need to change the return feed F00VP01003. i ordered only the oring and washer

@Martin Kulik: you don’t need to. But they are cheap enough that if you been taking the return line off a few times, good to replace while you are in there.
