I have deleted the ABS on a friends K1200s, all I can say is after... The brakes were nowhere near as good as it was when it was working.... A bike of this weight NEEDS Servo assisted brakes....

I picked up a 2006 K1200s with 44,000 miles. Super clean very well taken care of. I wasn’t sure what to do about the abs system locking up issue so I decided to go through a few tutorials and decide which one I liked best to help me fix the issue. Your tutorial was the first one that I clicked on and it played all the way through without pausing at all. Very good tutorial.I don’t think I need to watch any others. You covered everything and explained details very well. It was really corny but equally informative. Your ability to make things work with what you have available was like watching myself. I do not know anyone personally that has the same level of on the fly ability. I will start mine first thing in the morning and let you know when I’m done and how it turned out. Sincerely, Thank you

what you really should do is remove all the brake discs and calipers, and then see how fast it can go ,without all that extra weight . dont forget to film it pov

Sounds like BMW should be issuing a recall. That fault sounds like it makes these bikes a potential death trap…

Is there not a better way to by pass the warning lights? They warn u of other things to, not so? Can the ecu not be programmed for abs out? Or a bridging of the abs unit plug perhaps? I ask as I don't know. How much does that piece of kit weigh in any case? Seems bulky.

Would you sell the abs motors if you still have them around?

Cool video, awesome to see someone working on my favourite bike series. I have a 2005 K1200S, 2006 K1200R and 2009 K1300S. My 2005 k1200S rear brake stopped working so I may need to do some research to fix. Mean machines, cant wait to see what you make of it.

Hi man, you are a savier 🎊😇. Quick question though, while putting the ABS unit in place, did you reconnect the hydraulics in or not? Also does this make sense to reconnect them and to to do the hydraulic liquid level? Thanks a lot

Awesome man. Just bought a K1200s 2005 model today.

I know the videos 10 months on, but when you seperated the unit to disconnect the ribbon wire, did you put the unit back together, or was that what you water proofed the smaller end with the wire harness main plug. Cheers Darren

I already bypassed my ABS so it does not have control.. but my Speedo has never worked. Any Suggestions? Parts I need. (No I don't want the ABS back) I would like my speedo to work and the other instruments. The gas gauge works. 2006 k1200s
