Very good ! Thank You. I have a new (to me) 2010 with about 15K Mi on it so this will be coming up soon for me. This is so much more clear than BMW manual or Haynes pictures. Please keep em coming.

Robnord1 Congrats on the new bike! Uploading a alternator belt change video, as well as a valve clearance video too! Ride safe!

I agree. The Haynes manual sucks in this section and so does the BMW service CD.

Where did you get your final drive outer seal?

Thank you Chris, I see you have added 2 extra mirrors on your RT. Can you tell us where we can get these? Thanks

Dominique Desmettre I'm not for certain, as the original owner put them on. I believe they are GS mirrors, which can be ordered from any BMW dealer. That's the first place I would check. I will say that I love them! Good luck!

So did I. The bike looks great to me, but the mirror position sucks. So I added two, which I bought from Amazon, and now I can position the originals for wider view.

Just hit 15,000 miles again on my 2008 R1200rt and am going to change out the air filter instead of taking it into a shop$! Is removing the “tubber ware” basically the same procedure? Bought this used and thought I would save some money this time around!😃Gil

You think that is expensive? I had to replace the clutch. The dealer and most shops quoted 12 hours. Yes, 12 HOURS. I decided to do it myself, as I have lots of experience on cars. It took me 20 hors but it was shockingly straight forward. It went fine, even though my neibourghs had a pool going whether the bike would start again or not...
