@@747heavyboeing3 When my parents took us to Britain (on a BOAC Super VC10; I was 11 and it was already my favorite plane) I found a model of a Standard VC10 in the BOAC test flight livery. I assembled it and had it on display for years.

@@joshs4594 You actually flew on a Super VC 10!! I have never met anyone who has. I reside in the USA. What a great memory for you and then having built a model of one. I recently uploaded a 86 inch BOAC SUPER VC10, 1/24 scale airplane model on KZfaq. Westway Models produced near London, England. I love original BOAC scheme too. I had wanted one for years but never thought I'd acquire as most are in Europe. Have a look and again congratulations on flying on a great, fast and beautiful airplane. I heard passengers preferred flying on Super VC 10s over 707s.

I spent the 1970s flying to & fro in RAF VC10s being in the Army. She looked like a fighter plane. It was ripped off by all the plane manufacturers East & West, but this was the Daddy!

Last time I flew on the VC10 was from Cairo August 1980 You could feel the power.
