Steven interviews the legend, Robert Loveless at the Art Knife Invitational 2005. An amazing candid session where Bob talks about his career and philosophy for a happy life. The very first KnifeTV interview!

Great interview. Old guy pays his debts, mortgage, and does not need to flaunt wealth. Oh, and he is still known for his knives.

He was absolutely unique and tremendously talented. Really happy we got a chance to preserve this so collectors in the future can get a sense of who the man was.

+lsubslimed Bob knew when it was time to quit. He really liked Steven and if he didn't, we never would have got him to open up like he did. Thx for the positive feedback. Appreciated.

He is the true master, legend. No rules. but he has set the rules for his knives since the very beginning. He did what he could to make the best knives for practical users and collectors. No compromise to his own rules. That differential him from the other makers, makes him the most famous.

Sadly, most have become closet queens. And flippers bought them to flip them.

More likely SAFE QUEENS when a fighter configuration is worth $14k.

IvyIslandProductions Damn, $14K? The Japanese collectors really made the price skyrocket.

+astrobird We didn't do too well on the tech side but glad we got the honor of talking to Bob and the chance to give all an intimate few minutes with the guy who launched the world of custom knives.
