Yeah, glad that you finally met Jakob Toretto. But dude! What happened with F9 ?? Just watched it last night, it’s horrible !! The worst worst worst fast and furious franchise ever. As a huge fan of Fast & Furious series, i feel very disappointed with F9. Even the rating in IMDB is very low compare to other fast & furious movies 😭

I think I mentioned that it's welcoming. (Since VW's steering architecture hasn't change since MK5.) And I also mentioned that Mercedes still does the best job where paired with the LCD, the haptic keys are softkeys, given that they change as you toggle between screens, making them useful.

Beautiful, powerful, safe...love to have one if don't need to deal with unreliable SC and reliability of the car after 3 years. Nice DCC but changing the absorbers can cost you a bomb

Is a nice looking car. And I like the boot opening. Super convenient for me to load strollers( I have 2 kids). And I can avoid getting a SUV!

Fantastic review. To those who wanna Passat kinda softer ride, by downsizing from 19 to 18" wheels might do the magic. And fit comfort oriented tyres. Job done. Anyway before doing that, Bobby you could have played with the individual driving mode setting. You can choose 15 modes of Suspension. Can try push it to the extreme left (softest configuration). I'll find that out once I get to test it after test drive is allowed. One tip from a Passat owner. For more effective damper setting, select the damper setting, off the engine, get out and on back. I'm not sure whether it works but that's logically acceptable.

haha why wanna downside the factory rim to 18. its gonna ruin the sporty look of Arteon. even the 19inch rims are abit underwhelming for its body size. comfort wise its just nice balance dy between comfort/sporty . those elderly people who want extra softness suspension , hate stiffness can always go for teana or older xv40 camry. these are super comfort oriented car but handling ke laut la

@@MH-tg2ng Alright you're actually right about looks. 18 would look uncle 😅😅😅 I'm not sure of comfort. Need to test first. And slide the damping @ absorber setting to the softest and judge the ride comfort.

@@MH-tg2ng Camry XV40 & Teana definitely softer due to ridiculous narrow and thicker tyres. 215/55/16 ACV40. 215/60/16. So it's no doubt the ride would be spongy but handling 🤣🤣🤣

@@MH-tg2ng I prefer new Camry over older one. Tad firmer and sportier but still comfy. I think Japanese cars now following Euro ride characteristics. Current Accord and Camry get 235/45/18 tyres similar to Passat Highline and Elegance.

Bobby, glad that you've commented on its excellent suspension and ride quality but let's put it this way. Comfortable ride doesn't actually require very soft suspension. In the way you had described on Arteon, I would say its firm (not so especially Comfort mode, I guess) but comfortable. So, is the Arteon as comfortable as the current Camry (unlike the old Uncle Camrys, XV70 is more dynamic and sporty like Mazda, so got the road feel etc). So I'm just curious whether the Arteon comfort level is equivalent or nearly as plush and buttery as Camry. I definitely don't expect Arteon to fare better as it has larger and broader wheels (245/40/19) with performance oriented Pirelli P'Zero tyres (very hard) compared to Camry's (235/45/18) with the comfortable Bridgestone Turanza T005.

i tested and sat on the rear seat of both cars, i will conclude that Arteon on normal mode is more comfortable than camry

@@yxlam Wow! First time hearing someone saying Arteon more comfy than Camry. Most who I ask said Arteon more comfy than Accord but behind Camry. I'll go test one and confirm it. But I'm definitely surprised that "Arteon more comfy than Camry".

@@yxlam The pre Facelift Arteon was a disaster. Sat in it before. The ride comfort not to my liking. In fact firmer and busier ride than Accord. Slide it to extreme comfort then can feel decent comfort that's for it. Any car also better take facelift which is an improvement. Can give many examples, upcoming Camry, Myvi, ES, W213, Civic FC, X70.

@@royalprince5878 I didn't test Camry, but I felt the front seat of Arteon is significant plusher and more ergonomics than the Accord. The seat base of Accord is weirdly firm, and I was keep adjusting the seat while driving as I hardly get myself sat comfortably in the new Accord. In normal & comfort mode, the Arteon suspension is very plushy and comfortable on high speed undulations, but under control, won't be too soft, which made me forgot the fact that it was riding on 19 inch wheels with 40 series tyre. The DCC is really doing its magic 👍🏻 Maybe you can try the individual suspension firmness setting (15 different levels) to fine tune and feel the difference ya 😁

Very very difficult choice. Arteon is one of the best conventional cars. Spacious, fast enough. The S60 on the other hand, is even faster, has a classier interior (albeit graphics were slightly less enticing) but because it's a hybrid, you get the feeling of driving something from the future (short distances) whenever you go into full EV mode, gliding quietly. Even though S60's hybrid system is also superior to BMW or Merc in reliability and functionality, it is still a hybrid and you will definitely experience little glitches throughout your ownership tenure given long enough. If you look at international prices, then you will know that the S60 T8 actually costs a lot more to buy than the Arteon, just that in Malaysia it's tax deducted hence you get to buy at these prices comparing to the Arteon. In every overseas market were if the S60 the same price as the Arteon, people will snap up the S60 T8.

I been owning Vw for 5years plus , there are non issue at all, the aftersales are brilliant especially claiming parts they are not stingy to claim for you a new parts! As compared to honda etc, the parts need to be claimed are very complicated! Atleast from my real world experience

A direct car against the sister brand Skoda Superb. The issue with VW sedans are the maintenance issues after a few years, I've heard older VW sedan models having gear Box or other issues. Any VW owners care to share their experience...?

What I mean is it is no longer the major stuffs like what we experienced with their 2009/10/11/12 cars ... Where crack blocks, crack pistons, dsg mechatronic failures are so common it's almost a guarantee all will get it back then.

i got 1 vw, still under 5 years warranty. with tons of issues and none of it was fix but the SC told me they are built and created error. thats how they solve my car issue.this is what happen when they cant fix it. last month sended to sc to replace some parts and end up do more damage, now i need to wait for the oart replacement again. even email to VW HQ doesn't help. when you drive it, that's the beauty of VW. when it have a issues, there you will have the ugly side from SC.

Completely agree...my experince with the Tiguan was ridiculous...almost every month in the SC sometimes up to a week..worst experince ever owning a car... never again will buy a VW

@@ncnx7277 who youre asking ya??😅😅.If u were asking me,it was dashcam,but i lowered setting to 1080p coz 4k(which has the function) sucks up my memory and it wasnt intended for youtube usage anyways.
