The reveal of Pete’s “you know what scene” was the most Pete Davidson thing you could ever see on screen. I was LMFAOOOO😂😂 but tbh, I would classify this more of a comedy than a horror film.

I was so damn sure who the killer was from the beginning. The reveal was probably the hardest I've laughed at a movie in a while. Did I just spend an hour and a half to get rick rolled? Yes. Did I enjoy every minute of it? Also yes.

Growing up in the age of social media where everyone can say whatever they want about you is something that definitely shaped how *gen z* portray themselves. The constant self deprecation and "self awareness" is used as a shield to protect themselves from any negative comment. Because if you've already said the worst thing about you, nobody can say anything that will 'affect you.' But it's all a fragile facade.

I am just saying that it’s somewhat of a big deal when you see some of your folks, starting from a small country in the geographical ass of Europe, succeeding in his/her career on the biggest markets in the world, which Hollywood happens to be, it makes you feel good. The competition is the highest possible, and knowing that a Bulgarian has a success over there, reignites your courage to dream big and generally have hope. It could be a minority complex, I won’t deny that but I think you were mean spirited when you openly assumed a political motives in this subscriber’s message without processing it carefully. @@sole__doubt He was good in Big Time Adolescence and The King of Staten Island. Most people who say he can't act have not even seen his movies though. Just like most people who say they don't like him have never been in the same room with him or even watched an interview of him.

@@sole__doubt Based on what? Pete has maintained friendships with people he met as a teenager. Almost everybody who has acted with him or directed him speaks highly of him. They say he is polite, kind, generous etc. He is close to his family also.

My coworker and her boyfriend went to see this yesterday. The trailer looked kinda like Scream 1 vibes, to me, but I haven't gotten to ask her how it was.

I’m intrigued… generally I’m not a fan of these horror movies but might give this one a go some day.

Yet another movie I see no marketing for and am unaware it exists until I see reviews for it on YT. If movies don't do well in theaters, the lack of marketing should be acknowledged as part of the problem.

I saw this last night. I thought it was well acted actually to pull it off and I caught on to the premise and enjoyed it. The subtext is once the internet goes down the group slowly begins to communicate with each other more and more like a comment section.

After watching your video I decided to go see the movie last Saturday. It is def not a teen/college student slasher movie. I found it to be pretty funny. One of the better A24 films.

Just came back from seeing this film. All I knew about it beforehand was the title, nothing else. There was not a single moment where I realized it was supposed to be satire or funny. I just assumed it to be a serious film, so I took it seriously from start to finish. The twist at the end was hugely impactful though. I feel like it would've been less effective to me if I had watched it as a funny movie. :D

Chris is right. Slasher can be a very deceptive term for any movie. There have only been a few genuine slasher movies made in the last ten years.

I very GENUINELY believe that Gen Z “Lord of the Flies” is a genius idea and they truly executed it perfectly. I adore how natural everything felt. Like the script, characters, and choreography all felt so… real. Almost bland and unrehearsed but in the best way possible because it felt like they were really experiencing this. Parts of the movie when they’re actually physically fighting with each other felt like what I’d see if it were happening in real life and not some well-choreographed action scene, and that in itself made it a well-choreographed action scene lol. Just so impressive all in all.

As someone from the south though, hurricane parties are VERY common with people of all class levels, so I can see how from someone else's point of view that can add to the entitlement aspect of the characters but for me it was a completely normal thing to do lol
