Review and demonstration of the Bodylastics curl bar.
This is a great piece of home workout equipment by Bodylastics. This curl bar can be used with resistance bands for various exercises. This is all you need to have a safe workout at home. Resistance bands are great to use at home, a hotel, the park, or anywhere you can fit in a workout.

Excellent video Sir! I would only add that it appears that Torroband, with its far better handles and durable tubing, would be a better overall quality band. Then all you have to to is buy the Bodylastics Curl Bar and their 12 slot Doorstop and you've got a complete set! Have a great day!

Just purchased the entire system. Had no idea how weak I was 🤣. Resistance is not a joke. I was about as strong as a tear drop vs a typhoon for about a week. Just keep at it. P.S. get the Black 40 lbs .

Great video, thanks for showing all of the different work out options. Question -- how do you determine how far away from the door to stand when using the bands and bar? Also, I sometime will feel a lot of pressure on my rear foot's ankle when facing away from the door pushing out.

You want the band to have tension over the whole course of the movement.

Great video very detailed thank you it's much appreciated I have a bioflex machine which is kind of like a Bowflex that uses two cables and I'm looking for a high quality bar and it looks like this bar would definitely fit the bill :-)

Hi. so other than coming apart and being longer/ heavier how does the bodylastics compare to the XBAR? is one more comfortable to work out with ? I am not going to travel with it - and I prefer a lighter bar but XBAR is more than 3 times the price is it worth the extra money?

Well I got an update. The bar is finally back in stock and had it in my possession the past few days. This bar is legit for band work. Very solid. Slight negative for being so solid is that its heavy at 5 pounds. Still portable for work but definitely not flying with it.

Thank you for this video. I have over 200lbs of resistance bands and I was looking for a bar to use. Can you obtain lean muscle by use by resistance bands and using this bar?

Why did this bodylastics look like it gave you more of a workout than the xbar video you did ? Are the Bodylastic bands that much better than the xbar bands ? Plus it seemed the longer bodylastics bar also might have given you a better workout ?

The bodylastics bar is much heavier. I used the same bands for each bar.

Could you tell me if its comfortable (honestly) if you do squats and actually use 120LBS I mean your green band is like what 5 lbs, thats not gonna do it, I need 2 orange bands ^^

It kinda depends on how tall you are. Also your gonna need some extra attachments. I'm gonna do a video showing the different ways to do squats and deadlifts.

@@VFit4life I wondered if the center piece would press on the back of your next when doing squats, but it looked like it did not bother you. What extra attachments do you need? Are the end-rings not studier enough? I am using resistance bands and was thinking of getting some larger clips for the ends to use this bar. Thanks for the review!

I can see where this bar can provide some nice variety in your resistance band workouts, but almost every exercise he demonstrated here can be performed just easily with the two handles that come in your bodylastics kit. Just a question of whether you want to spend the money or not.

The handles are like dumbbells while the bar is more like a barbell. Having both just gives you more variety like you said.

Strangely, the Bodylastics instruction sheet shows how to assemble this bar (which I ordered on Amazon on June 16) but not how to take it apart. I couldn't get mine apart (I was trying to push those little tabs in with my thumbs) until I saw you do it by twisting it. Even then, mine wouldn't come apart until I tried sort of pulling it apart while twisting, which seemed to work. I probably won't disassemble mine much since I don't plan on taking it to the gym or traveling, but it's good to know how just in case. Great video, and thanks for that tip.

you can wash them down with amorall make them look like new I use a paper towel to do it pour amorall on a paper towel over the bath sink then wipe bands down

They used to be on amazon but stock has been low due to COVID-19. The owners Facebook page states that they will be getting more stock soon.

They will be restocked in 2 weeks. I have owned Bodylastic for 2 years and quality is worth the wait. No joke. The ones that I see online are so thin and flimsy. The bands, handles and door jam are quality. If you compare Bodylastic to these companies that are hocking these cheapy sets that probably costed $10-$15 pre-Corona there is no comparison. The warranty they include is worth it. I started using my bands after my gym closed and I saw some wear. Bodylastic is repleacing them for me free of charge or shipping. As someone that has used the cheapy bands and used Bodylastics I can say that I would trust the Bodylastic bands with my Mom. That 100lb Black band is no joke if it rebounds on you....having that extra protection gives peace of mind. Keep in mind...my personal trainer is an old school body builder. I understand that you do not want to lose your gains but you can get it back with Bodylastic and not get popped in the eye or even knocked out. Best of luck and be safe.

I believe it was due to covid. A lot of home gum equipment was hard to come by. But currently it's in stock on amazon.
