TRACKS - Travel Documentaries

Күн бұрын

A journey to the high, harsh, and isolated Altiplano, one of the world's most severe locations. Bolivia's high plain is a region lost in time, more lunar than terrestrial in appearance. The world's largest salt flat, an island of golden cacti, scarlet-tinted lakes, twin volcanoes, and surreal sky are among the Altiplano's spectacular dreamscapes.
Art Wolfe's Travels to the Edge takes a look at some of the world's most distant locations. Explore breathtaking glaciers, spectacular deserts, vibrant jungles, and majestic mountain peaks.

What I like about photography is it makes you notice beauty you would normally walk past without really appreciating.

Beautiful place and video quality - the sound mixing was however not great, the music was so loud it was hard to hear the commentary

I’ve been there many times since I was born in La Paz and none of these images really captures the beauty of that place , plus the otherworldly feeling to be there in person is imposible to describe in a documentary

Stunning overall however please consider lowering music volume to match audio. If listening at night you can't hear talking unless music is loud.

4:25 - Like any any parent, they seem to be completely over whatever annoying thing their kid is doing and is just like "Calgon, take me away...". Meanwhile, the kid is like "Mom, Mom, Mommy, Mama, Mom, Mama, Ma, Mommy..."

Background music is to loud, constantly drowning out the narration. Ruined the video clip.

Excellent video as always.. But Clickbait is something I didn't expect from Tracks.. What's "most extreme" about Altiplano?

I was born in a city inside the region, Oruro which is almost 4000 meters above the sea level. First of all, the weather is not only freezing cold, it’s very dry, literally a desert. It’s empty. You could walk for days without finding human traces, or even without listening anything but the wind. Extreme might not be the right word, I would call it hinospitable.
