This bonus episode will officially bring season one of High Resolution to a close. We received a flurry of emails and questions from the community over the past six or so months, we curated twelve questions for this final episode and managed to stay somewhat coherent for an hour. If you still have pressing questions, tweet us and we will do our best to answer them. Enjoy and godspeed!

Nice tease. Seriously I really hope that you guys will have a series 2. These videos have been invaluable. It has been so refreshing to be able to hear from so many designers. Hear similar challenges, being able to hear how they describe and communicate what we do, truly invaluable content. Than you so much for putting this series together. I would love to see interviews with Don Norman, Alan Cooper, Kim Goodwin, Stephen Anderson, ect.

After Ian Spalter's High Resolution episode 17, I left my job. Not the very next day of course, took a while to find the next job though.. Also Creativity Inc. is an awesome recommendation.

Amazing. As a former ex pro soccer player, vodka salesman, journalist, turned design workshop leader (I skipped a lot of steps somehow), you fellas are my mentors on this side. Thanks for giving me insight in what steps I need to make to move backwards and build my way up from stronger foundations. Cheers from Spain!

OMG season 2 looks amazing! Huge thank you to everyone involved in this series, it's been inspirational, helpful, and I've learned a ton. One of the best design podcasts imo.

@Bobby 32:35 - Glad to see your perspective on you being Maker Manager (instead of being Manager of Makers). My question to you is - Do you think we don't need the latter in a large design team? (Like trusting your direct reports to do their own thing and learn from it) or should it have mix of both?). I completely understand the need of senior/principal designers/leaders who want to work and build products with everybody in the team, but I also feel there is still a need for the other kind of managers who should let the junior designers do their own thing and go wrong (even if they claim to be right) so they can learn from those failures. I am a bit conflicted on the idea of not having those leaders in orgs.

And I think I disagree with the fact that juniors who report to you are doing it to make the manager look good (/that you hired the right person). I feel a lot of juniors (not everyone) who want to try out things on their own are trying to get that experience by doing, failing and learning (don't think that comes from a part of ego).

You mentioned in this that there’s a pitch deck. Do you guys have a link to it? Thanks

I disagree with so many things here: 1. "You're a bad designer if you isolate your work" Have you guys heard of Paul Rand, Milton Glaser, Paula Scher?! They have their own voice. 2. "Should graphic design help politics?"The old word for Advertising is called Propaganda. 3. "You need to know about the product your designing for" Design looks the same everywhere today, lol. 4. "We need to promote design in schools" People should keep learning science, Design is still subjective. 5. "Trans in the army is wrong" The Army is ALL wrong. In fact the last justified war was WWII. Love the interviews though
