Obviously, I don't have to buy my own PaperArtsy stamps, and I get my PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics at a reduced rate, but everything else used in this video I bought myself.

Hmmm... not sure I can manage EVERY day! I aim to keep it to twice a week for now (a bit of summertime gentleness for all of us) but I can see there may well be times in the future when the videos come a bit more frequently. Happy you're enjoying it all so much!!

Hello Alison! I love the Books, Books, Books series! I love today’s featured journal - who doesn’t love a square! =) One of the reasons I enjoy your artistic style so much is because of how peaceful your artwork makes me feel and in a world full of crazy, finding peace is such a blessing. The accordion feature of this book is perfect for these prints and I also noticed how well you mixed up the color tones and alternated quotes & words. Beautiful… just lovely… it was quite a treat. I’ve only used one small ready made accordion journal in the past but I had such fun creating in it. I used Art by Marlene products so it was a bit loud although very cheerful =) Afterwards I thought it would be cool to make an accordion journal a bit bigger than the 4x6 size of the other one but I haven’t done it yet. I have some 30”x36” watercolor paper and was thinking about using that… we’ll see… I certainly would enjoy seeing how you created yours. Thanks for sharing your creativity and inspiration! Thank you as ever for your thoughtful and heart-warming words... Yes, a little serenity in these troubled times is a valuable thing, I think. Nature, art, music, reading... wherever you can find it for yourself. I'm very happy to hear you are finding some peace here at Words and Pictures. There's also a definite case to be made for bright and cheerful, to bring colour and positive energy to one's day - and it sounds as though that's what your accordion journal was doing! I love it Alison 🥰 all your art resonates with me, particularly botanicals, the colours you use and the poetry is like the icing on the cake! I’ve always been intrigued by gel plate printing so will check out your other video. Luckily, I found some of your stamps here in Australia….the violet stamps are just so beautiful. A big yes to an accordion journal video if you do decide to film that one day 💕

I'm aiming to create an accordion with some of the "basic cyanotype" prints I created for the latest release... and I'll definitely film it when I do. This is a beautiful book and a lovely use for the gel prints. I really enjoy making journals and books so am always interested in seeing how others make theirs too. I love your stamps and have just treated myself to a few sets - they are beautiful and stamp (and clean up) so well. i am going to try them on the gel plate too so thank you for all the inspiration.

This book, your prints… so wonderful! I loved watching your video. I looked on the site of Paper Artsy and searched for the stamps you used. They are not there… is that right?

Yes, that is right... for the first 3 to 6 months immediately after a new release, PaperArtsy like to give their stockists exclusive sales, so the stamps don't appear on their own site until a bit later. They work very hard to support independent retailers in the craft industry. You'll find their worldwide stockists listed alphabetically by country here: blog.paperartsy.co.uk/p/find-stockist.html (also in the video description). Not all PaperArtsy stockists stock all PaperArtsy products (they have so many!), so if you have trouble tracking down my designs, let me know where you are based and I can try to point you in the right direction. I think it's probably a combination of Slate and French Roast, two PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylic neutrals that I love. Hard to be sure as it's quite a long time since I made the prints, but looking at it, I think that's probably right! Happy you like it - thank you for taking the time to comment.
