Hi Annemarie, Wonderful lesson about how to avoid very word in our daily English conversation. I admire your suggestions. Some other examples: 1. The noise of the machine was deafening. 2. The long journey completely drained me 3. Please turn the radio down the noise is deafening. 4. The rise in costs has drained all our profit away. 5. You reach your goal after grueling hours of sweat and pain 6. All your drenched in sweat from grueling morning workout. Thank you.

I was over the moon after completing my thesis and submitting because I know that gruelling work will pay-off. Then, I feel overjoyed when my parents gave me a ticket to travel overseas as a reward. However, I was unwell due to frigid weather in Russia while visiting its capital. As soon as I returned Vietnam, It is getting sweltering. Luckily, I did not have any temperature shock.

Hi, I'm from Thailand. I wanna speak English naturally like a native. Speak as I wish direct from my heart. Able to accent effectively. Thus, I have to practice more, over and over. Thank you for your VDO. It is worth watching. I've watched and paused the VDO periodically to jot down the sentences. I repeatedly watch it over to improve my English, listen without looking the subtitle, speak by imitating and so on.

1. The weather has been VERY PLEASANT indian summer here in Hungary today. Not as boiling hot as in summer, and not as freezing cold as in Denmark. 2. I felt quite drained yesterday, but after a good night sleep I feel recovered today. 3. I've recently heard that a grueling workout is supporting our health, but only if we DO it quite rarely. 4. It always makes me apprehensive when I must talk to more than one person at a time. 5. I am overjoyed for bumping into this video of yours, Annemarie! I am also confident that it helps to several people to express themselves in a more powerful manner, and to make themselves better understood.

My dear husband had a grueling day at work. So I decided to make him a delicious dinner and hopefully his day will brighten a bit. Although my kid felt apprehensive the day before his finals, he did excellent. I feel overjoyed when I get a notification on Wednesdays from this channel, that means that a new lesson is available. I watched your video for the first time today. While cold weather in VA, I used with my son it’s frigid outside. He said mom what does that mean. He’s in 9th grade and was surprised he never heard the word. (Our kids can learn too) Also, I used with my husband the word certainly and frigid with him. No response from hubby. But I’m certainly glad I found your channel!

I always feel drained after having worked in the garden but I''m also overjoyed for the outcome! My hausband is a former triathlete used to doing grueling workouts, unfortunately that caused him atrial fibrillation...he finally had to slow down! After eating their pizza I feel parched...I need to drink sparkling iced water! Thank you for your lessons useful, funny, you have a wonderful voice and you are an excellent teacher !

-Outstanding-My was sister was an excellent student, became a prominent doctor, and now she is an outstanding manager of great projects in medical researches. -Curious-Last evening I hear a young man, who seems highly unusual by his thoughts. -Jane is deeply interested in biology, she's really eager to learn to science. -Difficult-Jack went skiing in the Alps and broke his leg in a fall. The situation was demanding and the road to the hospital was complicated.

It is really GRUELLING when you arr in the spotlight whenever I am in a meeting or an interview I always feel that way. Specially during the an interview, I always feel apprehensive or uneasy when it's my turn to speak Wooaaah! I should be working more on that sutuation to help me less apprehensiive. 😊

1. I hope that one day I can speak English effortlessly like native speakers. 2. But the process of learning a new language is grueling because sometimes you don't have any progress when you're using the wrong method. 3. I feel drained every day after working out and studying. 4. I'm overjoyed when I started learning English with Annemarie because I think her learning style suits me fine. 5. The weather today is boiling hot and I want to stay in the refrigerator. 6. I tried to imagine myself be in a glacier that's frigid. That makes me feel a little bit colder. 7. My parents like to have a deafening quarrel every time they don't agree to each other's opinions. 8. I'm calm when practicing English with myself. But I feel apprehensive when talking to an actual person. 9. I'm confident that I will be able to feel like myself when I speak, express myself fully, and say exactly what I want.
