I read a book that really helps me, now I know the secret how to learn to speak English quickly. The only thing that keeps us to still not learn to speak English is our mind. If you're afraid to speak English because you think you will commit mistakes, then sorry you will never learn to speak English. Trying to speak English doesn't mean to be perfect just like we learned in school. But speaking in English is to communicate, don't be afraid to make an error. Speak in English forget the "one correct answer" rule that school taught us, your study to communicate and not to impress your teacher. You're not in school anymore, use what ever you learned in reality. Just like me, I never afraid if I have mistakes in my sentences, I'm not native English speaker. So, what I'm afraid? I'm just a learner, means it's natural to have a mistake. Just speak again and again in English. THE FACT IS IT IS BETTER TO TRY AND TRY AND MISTAKE AND TRY AGAIN THAN NOTHING. So, you know the answer why you didn't learn or progress, because of the wrong mindset. Be always positive, don't think any bad things. Your focus is to learn.

The question could be transformed into what profile do the peers in this position have? and what profile of current employees do you consider to be the most outstanding for the company in terms of achieving objectives?
@estudiostecnicos20015 күн бұрын
Hi Anne Marie as always your post is valuable for learners (like me) trying to improve their English skills. I have a point, if you askk "Do you have questions or concerns about my qualifications for this position?" I think with such a delicate question you can force the interviewer to search his mind for what to tell you and a concern about your capabilities that did not exist before arises and now he turns it into a topic and probably discusses it with whoever would be your direct boss. I have interviewed candidates for hire and if one of them asked me this question I would find it strange.and I would consider the candidate insecure or unprepared for the position. Thank you for your posts. Receive kind regards

Thanks for your comments about my weight. I do agree with you, I will definitely look into this problem of overweight and will take steps immediately to reduce it through physical exercises, cut down sugar and overeating. I am very sure all these activities will help me substantially to reduce the excessive weight and unwanted fat.

OK boss, I will be happy to take this assignment as I have got some other assignments which needs to be completed well in time before the 20th of this month. As such, I will be able to complete well before 23rd of this month. But, if you need this urgently I will delegate it to my assistant who will do it as soon as possible possible.

I find sentence : that’s an intetesting idea. I’d like to share a different perspective 👌-is very practical. Thank you for this tool of Assertiveness. One of the methods may be the gray stone principle. Be conservative in a relationship - for your own protection against someone who puts pressure on you.

Thank you for sharing such an important topic. How to disagree politely is a skill even long-time English speakers like me lack. Non-native speakers would either not want to offend others or use the wrong expressions to disagree. All the phrases you share are so practical. Thank you so much.

Another tip could be to live or visit a country where you force yourself to speak the language you want to learn, in this case you have more vocabulary and confidence by necessity. Also if you can't travel have the option of having a hybrid job where the dominant language is the one you want to learn at least when you already have an advanced level.
