Everyone seems to be giving away their schefflera plants. I get tons of messages saying, "my so-and-so just gifted me this plant... it's 30 years old and I don't know what to do" yada yada... well here's a video on how to take care of it!

Guys, if you have no clue what's wrong with your plant, consider watching this video. If these are things that do not occur to you, then throw the whole plant away, because you are not a good plant parent (jk ...sort of)

Parallel peperomias are SUCH awesome hanging or vining plants. Beautiful! And you're right about not really having many pest pressures! I've never seen anything on mine, and I've definitely had pests on some of my other peperomia👍❤

They are the best! I love the red color of their vines 🤗. I have so many in little pots that are blooming right now. Hoping those blooms don’t attract bugs 😱

Wow! Thanks for sharing your collection! And the video was not too long - I've sat through longer lol. Jealous of all your Sanseveiria moonshine! I want to expand my snake plant collection and I want that one next lol. I'm also planning on getting a Hoya hindu rope plant since yours looks so interesting and easy to grow!

🤣 same here! As soon as they don’t do well, they move down on my list lol. Terrible, but at least I don’t have kids, because I’d probably do that with them too...

I love my ficus and it’s happy where I put it. It’s a beautiful tree. I want the cascade plant! Thanks for sharing 😃. The Hoya looks like intestine to me 😆.

Hey my friend. Too long! Trusting you are well in your neck of the woods. Been hectic over here. Anyway, enjoyed your vid and plan to catch up on more vids. I'm also going through a shift in my love for some of my babies. It's actually weird how my love has waned for plants I once loved. I keep reassuring them "it is not you. It's me." 😹

Hello friend!!! It’s so nice to hear from you ❤️. I am doing great over here. I totally feel you on the rollercoaster I am on with some of my plants. I think that’s why I love the old ones so much because they’re super established and can withstand a lot more neglect than the little ones lol. Thank you so much for watching, hope things start to slow down for you a bit so you can enjoy the summer!

Loving this video, I’m so impressed with the Hoya Hindu ropes, I’ve struggled with them but still trying. Have one in my own plant clinic! I’ve also really struggled this year with the Miranta, pilea, and obtusifolia! They were all thriving and I gave away so many babies, then they all started dying. I luckily have some cuttings I salvaged and hoping they survive 🤷🏻‍♀️. I want to blame seattle winters but this year has been beautiful... so I’ll blame the soil too 😂😉

That is interesting that we are both having trouble with the same plants! I swear, they were doing so well just a year ago too 😭. I’m going to hope that the upcoming lunar eclipse will be signify the end of their sick period and fully recover 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽. I hope your compacta will get better!! I wonder if it got too much water? I’ve been getting a lot of yellow leaves on the mama plants 😬.

You might wanna try a natural bug spray just for plants so it won't harm them. That might help you with those annoying pest. Just type bug spray for plants in Amazon search bar.

I had an aluminum plant but the darn thing was always leggy...if it wasn’t dropping leaves that is 😔 I just tossed it in the end

😢yeah I don’t know what is up with the aluminum plants. I’m just about to throw in the towel with mine as well. I moved one of them to a sunnier window, but if it doesn’t bounce back this summer, it’s one less plant I’ll have to rank next year lol

Hoyas are my favorite, then rhipsalis, then strings of..except my pearls keep dying. Do you have any other hoya besides compacta?

Hi Ava! I also have a publicalyx and a carnosa, but those 2 were just repotted together because they were small and were not growing. They have since shown a couple inches of growth, but the cuttings I took of them have been sitting in water for a few months and still without roots 😥. While the other cuttings of my compactas are already fully rooted. So strange! As for the string of pearls, I know what you mean. It’s like they get all crispy one minute and then the next come back to life. They don’t stay plump for me. It’s like they have their cycle of that and just repeat 😭
