You know what amazes me about Boy George? It's his tenacious staying power, his stamina. No matter what adversities he's been through he just keeps picking himself back up and keeps going. He's still working, still famous, and still creating. I couldn't doit if I'd been through everything he has, I don't think many people could.

Yah I agree. He’s touring the USA again. Finally!

I listened to him very young and I can relate so much today why fight about politics or whatever else its all in your mind and there's and its about character nothing else. Politics and clothing don't make a person's character or make their manners and respect.

MY thoughts also, NOW George spews BS, sometimes he will outright lie. Back in the day, he spoke from the heart.

Boy George was living in Walsall at this time in a flat above a shop along with Martin Degville (sat next to George in this clip). Roger Taylor of Duran Duran (who were just forming) frequently spent nights at the flat in Goodall Street with Martin. George and Martin were often seen at clubs in Birmingham which is about 10 miles south of Walsall.

Georgey is a witty chap, with an incredible capacity of counter-argumentation (check other further tv interviews), and a good lyricist too. I never bought his music but i've heard it on the radio - soulful and competently made. It's a media product, morphing into song, and it cheers up your day. In 95 i was surprised by the quality of the Cheapness and Beauty album, which i found very solid, outstanding even, and being then professionally involved with radio, i played it quite often during that year. I was raised on TG/PTV/DIJ/C93/KJoke...and Motorhead, but i guess one must be really deaf forever to ignore the powerful songs and music on that record. Cheers from Portugal.

Im sure that is the same man who is the original “jimmy” in the album photos for the album Quadrophenia, before Phil Daniels played the character in the film, if you look up “dirty jobs live by the who” im almost certain he does the intro at the start of the song and is in the original photo booklet of the album.

You can tell the guy besides him was so cringed out by the entire exchange, and gave the best response in a few short sentences, obviously dressing differently invites lots of attention, and George just won't shut up yapping on and on, jeez.

Everyone is confused about the grape thing at the end....surprised I didn't see an answer to it. My guess is that it was a running gag on the show? Like to control the flow (or in this instance ruin it) they had a stooge character jump in with the grape bit and then cut to commercial? How far off am I?
