Probably my favorite Boz Scaggs Tune! I used to listen to this over and over in a loop. I never got tired of it and it’s a great sing along song too!

There's always one in the crowd that has to state the obvious.
Studio legend and original drummer for Toto, the late Jeff Porcaro, was on drums for this great Boz song. RIP

1976 Silk Degrees, Hotel California and Rumours three of the greatest albums and we played em and played add to that A New World Record ELO...loved Boz Scaggs...then always will...was a great time Steely Dan's Aja came out around 77/78 if kids today listened to those albums they'd know what real music was....I have listened to bloody Hootenanny for 3 hours now...got nothing done what a way to spend 3 hours lifes pleasures is surely music.

Let's not forget Stevie Wonder's 'Songs in the Key of Life' or Boston's debut album or Elton John's 'Blue Moves' or Peter Frampton's 'Frampton Comes Alive' or Paul McCartney's 'Wings Over America' or Led Zeppelin's 'Physical Graffiti' or Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here' . I can go on and on and on. 1975-1978 was the pinnacle of rock and roll.

Our generation, in my opinion definitely saw the best live performances. That's not knocking today's talent, but everyone knows that 45 to 50 years ago, the production of music was a lot different.

@terrytk93984 жыл бұрын
Neil Toombes agreed. It’s a difficult groove to nail! The whole band sounds so ‘English’ compared to all the American swinging YT videos. I wouldn’t want to take the drumming chair for Lido without months of practice! The band probably just had a couple of days to get this down.
@Drumbum5084 жыл бұрын
I don't know! Apparently he doesn't know either! It's not a shuffle beat for sure. I don't think a ride is even used in this song!

@scubagib64387 жыл бұрын
Jeff Porcaro was the original drummer. He was an extremely sought after session drummer and recorded on hundreds of hits. He also formed the band Toto and was their drummer up until is death in the early 1990's

This is Great Show...for a full instrumental set up...nothing missing...kind of sterile atmosphere, not the artist fault if it doesn´t have the punch you know and expect from the Boz, on a scale of 1-10...I would go 8.5...Don´t get me wrong still Love him and the music...
