BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's
Eastleigh Station on 29th September 1995
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Eastleigh Station and was again filmed from the top floor of the car park opposite. Captured on film on 29/09/1995, and surprisingly NO Slam Door stock was seen !. Classes 08, 33, 37, 47, 58 and 60 were seen on a variety of freight and Cross Country services to and from Poole/ Midlands and the North were seen in the hands of HST's. Still of interest this location as the various classes slowly make their way into the history books sadly and the older slam door stock being replaced by the modern EMU classes and 2nd Gen DMU's. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
