This song hits hard every time I hear it. After about 3-4 months of me being deployed to the desert, I found out my wife was 2 months pregnant. I was sent home early to handle the situation and when I finally got home I found that the other man had been living in my house and wearing my clothes the entire time I was gone.

When I came home, as I walked through the airport, I was spit on and called a baby killer. I never killed a baby. I served my country, and thought I should be be allowed to be proud of it. Whoever doesn't cry when they hear this song, especially the first time, is an absolute monster.

As a man who's been cheated on, it's a devastating blow that leaves very heavy scars. When a man truly loves a woman, it is a very deep and profound love. It can takes years to heal from the breaking of that bond, if it ever happens. Another great song about a man's love for a woman is "He Stopped Loving Her Today", by George Jones. By the way, Krauss is pronounced like Krouse, rhymes with house.

Now you see why it won so many awards. It's a powerful song. Paisley had to be pushed by his manager to record this one. To all concerned we need to understand that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem and will leave people alive with horrible pain for their remaining time.
