Some Explanations: - The new cards, Quem and Sanctifire, as well as Luluwalilith in combination with Nadir Servant, are great for letting branded play on the opponents turn. They are all less about making new fancy turn 1 combos, and more about letting you do more on the opponents turn. So a lot of branded turn 1 boards will look less impressive now at first glance. - Puppet lock and Jowgen lock are a possibility with Sanctifire now, however i dont think they are necessary. The reason is because most games where you are able to go 1st and combo are going to be wins anyway. Puppet and jowgen will win some games that you wouldnt have otherwise, but not so many that its worth putting the brick into the deck. The 40 card versions are very very tight. The weakness of branded has never been power, its the lack of room for handtraps, as well as a certain fire zombie stopping your branded fusion. - Super poly is good when mirrors are common, a lot of players will be trying new branded for a while. Its a strong deck for a while. Droll or ash or imperm arent in the deck because they too low impact as handtraps in the case of ash and imperm, and while droll is high impact against dragons or mathmech, its not good enough at all against kash, lab, or the mirror match. Purrely was another reason to play droll, but now purrely is much less of a problem. - No herald of abyss anymore because purrely is (as far as ive seen), not played much anymore. - Nadir servant is another solid engine card that can play on its own. going 1st it can be superior to fusion deployment since deployment requires another monster to fuse with, and even then granguinol by itself is not an amazing play. Nadir can play on its own though, sending lulu and search for albaz or quem, then summoning cartesia from the deck in the end phase. Nadir has trouble being good going 2nd though, so you can cut this card out of the deck if you want. Playing 3 more handtraps is not a bad idea in its place. - Sanctifire is still the best new card by far even without the puppet or jowgen lock. Summoning albaz on opponents turn is incredibly good. It offers good grind game too since it is able to be used multiple times, and cannot be targeted, so you can often use it for multiple turns. Its a good card to summon when maxx c is chained to branded fusion, since it gives only 1 draw and a lot of play on opponents turn. - Thrust is still worth playing even though there is no purrely. The idea is to beat ash and maxx c harder when you go 1st, using duplication. - Still not playing Beast or Regained. Although they are good against runick stun decks, and in the mirror as well as dragon matchup, regained is good. They could make the cut eventually. For now im not trying them. - Overall i think branded is a bit stronger. Its a cleaner deck to play into maxx c with, and has even more tools to play after ash now. But the main weakness is still there. Not enough room for handtraps makes the deck pretty hard to play into a format of dragons and mirror matches and mathmech. I would put the deck as a tier 1 threat, but not the best deck in the format. Also this list isnt going to be the best way to play for sure, its my first idea. These cards are just as new for me as anyone, so ill be improving it over time, and the non engine choices will change with the format too.

Being able to play under maxx c is the biggest power spike a deck can have Literally the only reason floow still exists With the variety of spell and trap tech plus the new interactions on opponents turn it reminds me of playing labrynth but with cooler monsters

I'm worried for Branded's future. In the past, instead of banning Gimmick Puppet, KONAMI decided to ban a card which is otherwise fair and a good interruption -- Branded Expulsion. Let's hope they hit the puppet this time and no other Branded card.

after much testing, i like this list alot.. just all gas being able to fusion and do disrupt in opponent turn with just Quem + Cartesia on board is just mindboggling

Very good list!!! Sad Dis Pater and other bystials are not used anymore :( I like the concept of summoning on both sides of the field but I don’t like players using it as a floodgate.

A new optimum combo guide would be awesome if you could do it. I saw some tcg stuff they were doing like adding opening in end phase with albion effect and summoning quem. Just lil optimisations would be nice to onoe tho ofc ur options sre alwayd based on all of your cards and opponents cards etc

How important is Nadir Servant? I've seen it in plenty of decklists, but is it really that important to run? Because there are other cards that can get me to Quem in addition to me not having enough UR dust for a playset.

A branded list that both uses sanctifire and Quem without the BS puppet lock? Count me the fuck in, I'm a massive fan of the albaz lore so it feels much better winning with strategies centred around those cards rather than abuse the poor balancing of a completely unrelated card, good shit
