while using shovels ive noticed they never break while im in the middle of smacking a stone so i just went and tested it and yeah: Shovels dont break while youre hitting a rock for the 8 times. I brought a flimsy shovel to roughly 37-39 uses and then went and hit a rock and it worked fine. then i dug an empty hole cause i was wondering whether any interaction would break it at that point (it didnt) hit the rock again and poof wonder whether a shovel thats already over its uses via rock-smacking will still not break if you go use it on a different, on this day un-smacked, rock...

I actually like how in new horizons they have breaking tools. Even though it’s annoying, it gives them more of a purpose to always be in store. In the other games, you would only buy one, then that’s it, unless you wanted a golden shovel and stuff, that’s the only time you would buy a new tool
@Katie-hj5eb2 жыл бұрын
One thing to note for the shovel is it will never break on rock hits that produce materials, it uses durability but never breaks. This means if you keep a seperate shovel for rocks you can use it forever without wasting your normal shovela durability.

instead of water cans breaking easily in acnh i wish you just had to refill them from a body of water, then maybe they break after a long time. like some tools should be more durable than others tbh maybe instead of making u buy a new fishing rod, maybe fish can actually break ur fishing line & u just have to buy more fishing line from timmy & tommy or craft it similar to fish bait, like you have to repeatedly tap A to pull a fish in but big ones like sharks can get away if you dont do it fast enough resulting in fishing line breaking or sometimes them just yanking the entire fishing rod into the water lol
