You guys cover all the angles... Very well done. And I'd say mate, it's a good thing you guys rigged it up in a bad way, that way we get a little taste of what not to do, so that we learn. Good job guys!

Great videos! Thank you for posting theses. Small tip concerning this scenario. If that pulley is placed on the haul ascender instead of the anchor, you’ll get a little more theoretical mechanical advantage.

This is a real worst case scenario that Adrian made short work of.. Maybe worth pointing out that if possible, avoid generating slack in the anchor's locking hand ascender; with the hauling ascender connected to the D ring like he did, it may be possible to use 2 hands to pull the slack through the locking ascender at the same time as the slack is generated. I might have put a capture krab through the twin holes of the locking ascender as well. A hauling point rigged with slings to prevent large extension should the alpine-loop side of that Y hang fail would be ideal, but the method demonstrated is very much a response to a situation gone fairly pete tong anyway, so the advantage to clipping the hauling krab through the alpine is speed and less clutter / faff. I once saw 2 Level 3s spend a long time trying to puzzle this out, so again, this demo made it look easy. A bientot Toboriaf Pretze.
