Nah doesn't work like that in Russia. These tickets are small... worth about 20-40 dollars depending on where you are from. Why alot of these drivers don't care... 40 dollars isn't much... Also why these guys go out and protect pedestrians. As these drivers just don't care. When these guys first started alot of traffic police didn't even want to spend the time writing a 40 dollar ticket. Now their name and public support carry enough weight that they just write the ticket.

The Traffic fines are enough to hurt the average working Russian... Put it is pocket change for the Wealthy class in Russia.

Where I am from you would lose your drivers licence, face possible jail time for hit and run, and would probably have to pay a settlement worth anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000 to the person you chose to run into.

See, here in the US if you deliberately hit someone with your vehicle, that's considered assault with a deadly weapon, which is a felony. Trying to flee the scene is another felony. Chances are pretty high that with video evidence like this, the cops won't simply issue a citation and let the driver go. No, the driver gets arrested and charged, they impound the vehicle, and the driver would lose their driving privileges for at least one year. I don't understand why this would be any different in Russia.

Most US state's police would most likely tell you dont be a vigilante because it would get you or others killed. In a stop a douchebag situation here, unfortunately, some of these guys putting themselves in front of a car would get themselves killed. Especially in fast paced states where people are boiling over with road rage and traffic. If no one gets killed and a cop comes onto the scene, the driver would get ticketed up the ass but the Vigilantes would be busted for breaking windshields, wipers, or putting stickers on cars.

Indeed. When the fines are proportional to your income, rich f***s will all of a sudden care a whole lot more about trafic laws. I don't really understand why the people who drive into pedestrians on purpose aren't taken into custody by the police to face assault charges in Russia though.

I'm on board with that -- but at the same time there are both arguments; 'fair' or 'equal' it's not equality if a rich person has to pay more it's not fair if a rich person doesn't have to pay more. Depends which side you choose.

Or they need to adopt a point system like they do here in the US. After a certain number of points your license is revoked.

It is fair tho if the fine is based on the income of the person. If I have 100€ my fine is 10€, and someone has 10€ his fine should be 1€, the loss is just as big TO THE PERSON. In my opinion atleast, this is completely fair and reasonable.

The fines the Russians give for driving on the sidewalk are only about $20-40, so they wouldn;t make millions more off of that :P

I remember there was a dumb bitch that attacked someone while pregnant. The woman defended herself by pulling her gun, n telling her to back off 3 times, but the dumb bimbo still kept trying to hit her. So she fired a warning shot at the ground. The bullet ricocheted up and hit her in the stomach, and she lost the baby. Later she tried to get the woman sent to prison for attempted murder, but the judge pulled an uno reverse, n decided she should go away for murdering her own baby with her stupidity, if attacking a woman armed with a gun, while pregnant, and not expecting her to fight back, or the baby to get hurt.

When you drop a barrier in front of the car you should put your foot at the bottom of it and push it into the pavement, that would "encourage" the barrier to end up underneath the front of the vehicle causing more damage...

These fine young men are such good Samaritans. So worried about minor parking infractions they are. The last thing they want is a confrontation..... It's not as if they provoke a fight. Sure they could find a job and be productive people but then who would stick stickers on people's car?
