Unless it was a momma grizzly with cubs nearby the bear probably wouldn't want anything to do with a man the size of Brian Shaw in the first place, not because it couldn't win but because it's just not worth the risk. A black bear runs away from perfectly normal people, it'd be scared shitless of a 6'8" 400lbs man running towards it.

Tigers and gorillas or any other animal you mentioned outweigh him by a couple hundred pounds, not to mention they don’t play fair at all. Each of these animals you mentioned have extremely high bite force and their swipes would just tear off any humans skin.

Bear handed no I mean the bear would certainly have to use more strength and energy taking down Brian and holding him down, it’s also take longer than an average prey, but in the grand scheme of things, we don’t have many natural weapons. We can bite kick and punch, and let’s face it, Brian’s punch isn’t as lethal as the bears claws, especially considering that we don’t have a thick pelt, our skin can easily be sliced. Also Brian’s bite would be useless against a bear pelt and the bear’s bite would mangle Brian. Lastly, bears have more stamina, strength, endurance, and agility than humans, also heightened senses. Such as eyesight hearing and smell. They can run faster than us, swim faster than us, climb faster than us, and even dig faster than us, so no matter how it’s done the bear will get to you. The only thing Brian could hope for is choking the bear out, punching it’s nose, or gouging it’s eyes. But those are all extremely unlikely to result in a victory over the bear. That’s this bear specifically tho. Some full grown adult black bears down here in Florida only weight 300-400 lbs, one of those bears probably would have an extremely difficult time with Brian.
