Actually in the uk. It depends on how many bricks you're laying. If he's fast, accurate and efficient he could. People who do brick pavements can go as high as 700 a day.

I used to shift tons of gear as a labourer.but many times over due to putting the sand and cement in the mixer which is once then again wheeling it all in the wheelbarrow,then again where it needed to be put.If you take 1 ton of gear and x that by 3 that's alot of tonnage and that's without all the bricks,slabs etc. TRUE FACT. Yeah they look like cheap cycle helmets, not sure if you've seen the rangers helmets in Black Hawk Down, think the same as that. Petzl do the vertex which is good, Fixe and Edelrid do some decent kit and the Apex EXO are all pretty standard now and breathable on a stinking hot day and they're light weight to boot and have high impact ratings to save the old walnut from getting cracked.
