Hi Maester Men, what I would do is lay a block at the lowest point, transfer a level to the highest point, set up a line between these to so have created a level line. I would then cut blocks to the gradient of the slope using a grinder and lay accurately to the string line. You will then have a level first course to build upon. I wouldn't worry about rebar, however if you plan to build single block over 20' I would recommend a pier in the middle of the wall. Good luck.

Hi Paul, thanks for the comment. I checked out some of your videos, you have some very different techniques. Let us know if you want to know anything about British masonry.

Hi, is it advisable to bend the brick away from you and then tap it back to the line, even if sometimes the brick might not end up being fully straight on the bed, meaning slightly bent inwards towards house. Because having the brick slightly bent outwards towards yourself will leave small gaps once level checking?. Please recommend

Hi. Just a couple of points not shown here. There's no mention of checking the level of the back of the brick to make sure they're not sloped towards or away from the line. Also, no mention of how to set up the line. Otherwise, your videos are good.

hi how do you get the string line level ??
@edwardwilliams89246 жыл бұрын
313keiko1 hi, get the first course level, build corners of this following bricklaying sequence if gauge is same both ends and you position the line at the top of the brick at each course your string line will be level.
