You can totally find a $1500. I have seen beautiful dresses on the show for $1500. Terrible the staff is saying she can’t find one within her budget. No justification to spend that much over her budget for 1 day. She should have gone to other boutiques.

I cannot fathom why people try on dresses they can’t afford or don’t want to pay for. Don’t even look at them!!

So not only did the bridesmaids have to chip in for the bride’s dress, but they still have to pay for their own dresses, plus everything else that goes into being a bridesmaid.

I can't believe someone would ask their friends to chip in on their wedding dress. I would never dream of imposing on my friends like that.

My daughter in law paid 50 for a thrifted dress and looked like a frigging ANGEL. Spectacular, honestly. She did her research!

I bought my wedding dress at Montgomery Ward. I watch this show and laugh my head off at some of these brides. I want the money for my honeymoon and our home.

Go to a store where you can afford any of their dresses. My daughter went to a store where we could choose any dress and it took so much anxiety off the search.

She hates the first dress because of wrinkles, but loves the expensive dress that has the same wrinkles.

How much is each friend expected to donate? I still have to buy my bridesmaid dress, alterations, shoes, hair and makeup. That “$gift$” towards your bridal gown is in lieu of a wedding gift and bachelorette party. So don’t be upset when you don’t get them.

That’s why the Brides need to TRY AND SAVE SOME MONEY to contribute to the dress she desires STOP DEPENDING on your parents!!

That was nice of Lori to give her a discount, but she should have settled for a cheaper dress. I would never take my friends’ money like that. It just isn’t right or worth it for a one day dress that will hang in the closet or in a box for years after the wedding to collect dust.

We live in Canada 🇨🇦 and didn't go to Kleinfeld's for my daughter's dress. She was married last September. Her dress and veil, taxes and alterations all in, was $3000. Th (Canadian) Thats $2194 US. She tried on 25 dresses at that price point or less. Y'all need to come to a Canadian bridal salon to shop.

I know that once beading or crystals are added, the price goes way up. My dress was $1600. It was pretty, sure, but not at all what I wanted. I paid for it all by myself and regret not getting the style I wanted because it’s a once in a lifetime thing.

The last dress looks like the first one. If she had the first one tailored to the way she wanted, it would have been perfect and she wouldn't have had to take out the collection pot.

Whaaaat? You can literally see not all bridesmaids agree on the chip in thing. Bruuuh if she's like that to her friends, what more to her fiance.

The wrinkles in the front of the less expensive dress are because of her "extra" booty. And the more expensive dress had the exact same wrinkles! Either of which could have been fixed with proper alterations, especially as she was so willing to have her friends pay extra. But she didn't even notice the wrinkles in the more expensive dress! And shame on the staff (AND her friend) for saying she needed to up her budget if she wanted a dress that fit properly, and then showing her a dress that cost SO much more than her budget and not even telling her the price until AFTER she had it on and was out in front of her friends!! It was also very obvious that some of her friends were NOT thrilled with being volunteered to cough up hundreds of dollars to help pay for the more expensive dress!!

This is such a shame. How could the bride's friend blow off bride's budget even before starting? How could the bride not check the price before/while she was putting on the dress? The tag was hanging in clear view. This looks like everyone was scaming each other for a ridiculously overpriced dress.

I don’t understand when the consultants talk to the bride about stretching the budget or bringing in dresses that aren’t in the budget. If you have to work with the brides budget then that’s what you have to do. You shouldn’t question the brides price at all. That bride could find gorgeous dresses for that price at other salons.

This programme shows some wonderful gowns. However, I always wonder just how long it has taken the saver to save the money versus for how long the dress will be worn for those of limited means. Surely it is better to put a bit less on the dress and a bit more towards buying one's first home?

If the bride expects me to chip in to get her dream dress that is over budget, then I would consider that to be my wedding shower & wedding day gift to her. Bridesmaids have to pay so much money just to stand up in a wedding. There is only so much money a person can spend before going into debt.

My wedding dress was $400 and gorgeous. Granted I got married 32 years ago so who knows how much the dress would cost today, but I’m still glad I stayed in my budget AND loved my dress.

This bridal party is one ofthe most supportive and loyal I’ve seen here.

I’ve seen the consultants find dresses in the $1500 range. Surely they could have found her a dress from the racks/showroom or a cheaper sample gown. They scorned her budget and didn’t even appear to try. That said, I agree with her dad, shop around if you can’t find something there in your budget. Surely this isn’t the only place that sells bridal gowns. Her friends chipping in towards her dress is potentially problematic, especially if there are differences in what each girl is able to give. (Based on how this is edited it does seem as if only one of them was pushing her). Plus they still have to pay for their own dresses, gifts, bachelorette parties etc etc. I hope this dress doesn’t cost her her friendships. This was a very weird appointment.

I get where people are coming from saying the staff shouldn't have said she couldn't get a dress for 1500, but what I think they meant is she can't get a dress like what she wants for 1500, she clearly went into the shop wanting pure authentic silk yet only had the budget for fake mass produced silk. What about the bridesmaids expenses of their own for the wedding ? Gown and so forth. I won’t comment because I find the situation deplorable. This bride is taking gross advantage of her friends. The staff came across as quite snotty in this video. I understand that this childish bride hadn't done any research and should have taken her 1500 to another store if she had, but to straightaway keep complaining they haven't got any 1500 dresses was annoying.
