Do not condone their actions however I feel no sympathy for Alavander. Had an affair with a woman who did the right thing and ended it once she found out he was married and then got on with her life and found security and happiness. What does Alavander do? Blackmails her into trying to start up their relationship again despite being happily married and also mocks her husband. Again do not condone murder ever however his actions were clearly going to catch up with him one day and oddly enough they did! I do love your videos as these cases are all so different and have never been done before! Amazing as usual!

Having said that, do you really agree that such lenient sentences are appropriate for murder and mutilation of a corpse? Even if the victim was an asshole, consider the fact that if it was a clean execution, they wouldn't have been caught!
@madalice5134
@madalice5134 3 жыл бұрын
I can understand why they did it, since the guy was basicallly a sexual predator, blackmailing sexual favors out of female customers even before this particular affair, so he was a bastard. I have no sympathy for him. I feel vad for his wife, unknowingly married to the asshole and then going through the murder case and trial and public scrutiny was probably terrible for her. I think the couple got a fair sentence, considering the extenuating circumstances.

Normally I feel sorry for the victim. But not this time. He enjoyed years of financial success. He had a wife. Likely would have retired after several years as a very wealthy man, living in the lap of luxury. But that wasn't good enough for him. When he learned his former mistress who didn't know she was one, had married; he should have kept his mouth shut. Had he done that, he'd have lived.

Cops didn't communicate well back then. If the body is found on the other side of the country and they don't know where they body was put on the train, the cops wouldn't know where to begin investigating. Not even what city to begin the investigation. However you would need to get rid of all forms of Identification before you dumped the body on the train. Edit: If the trunk had been put in a luggage car and not with passengers, it may not have been found for a long time and they wouldn't know where it came from when they did find it. They also should have buried the head or smashed it to bits before throwing it in the lake so it wouldn't float or be identified as a head if seen floating.

I don't understand why these people kill the person most of the time anyway, there's always so many more discreet ways to get out of their situation that I can think of. Why didn't the couple literally just move to that city and have done with it? Can't understand it.

@Lisa-hc3uq
@Lisa-hc3uq 4 жыл бұрын
Regardless of how ruthless, manipulative and a POS someone is, it doesn't give anyone the right to murder them. There are plenty of people out there that are just as bad as he was, so they all can to be murdered and it's ok? No one has the right to take anyone else's life. Sentences within the legal system uphold that or are suppose to. Bad call on the judge's part. He went with his personal opinion rather than punishment fit the crime sentences. Most judges should hand down punishment fairly as they preside over cases of all kinds of backgrounds and circumstances and are not suppose to bring their personal opinion into account when sentencing anyone.

@Aussiebithc xx - I also suffer from some hearing loss. When my eyes are open & I can focus on screen I always use closed captioning, but when tucking in for the night with eyes closed I find my ear buds increase volume > than that of max sound level on my laptop - is this a possibility for you ? Most likely I am preaching to the choir & offering irritatingly obvious advice, sorry - anyway I empathize. Peace, take care, & have a great day! :-)

Really surprised to find this case being narrated in non-Indian KZfaq channel. When Alavandar's headless torso was found by the police (by a unit outside Chennai/Madras police jurisdiction) they were initially confused. The body had a circumcised penis. And the police assumed that the body was of a Muslim man. But it was the accidental finding of the head by the constable on his beat which helped the police and the prosecution. The couple returned to their home town of Palakkad, Kerala State, India. They opened up a restaurant "DevaPrabha" (joining the first part of their names and also meant "God's light"). It ran well for very number of years, but now not functional. A high light of this case would be the bonding between the husband and wife who stood together till the end (even when India's social norms at that time would have blamed the woman for erring).

Do they still have that fantastic vegetarian restaurant in Madurai where you eat dal and rice and a variety of chutneys off a palm leaf? I think it's near the big temple.......the one that sometimes has the elephant bonking people on the head with it's trunk as a blessing........amazing place.
