This sounds like the plot of "The Letter" starring Bette Davis.

I love your content! I’ve watched so many of your videos, but not all of them yet. I have a story suggestion: Reverend Edward Hall and Eleanor Mills. They were found murdered in 1922 in New Jersey. It’s a fascinating story!

I think Mrs hall had Eleanor’s tongue somewhere. Maybe in formaldehyde. She should have been angry at her husband who was an Anglican priest for crying out loud.

You mentioned early on the bigamous relationship. But never brought it up again. If it was a murder, then perhaps one of them didn't want this to be found out. In this day and age, it would be much more difficult to keep that a secret. Hmmmm....we will never know. Alas and Alack.

I’m just pernickety! I’m a proofreader and sub-editor, and pick up tiny things like this in a flash. If you’d like me to pass my eye over your scripts, contact me. Your scripts are great, by the way. You’re a very good storyteller.

What a terrible lie they made up. And, what a fool Josiah had to have been, to go to the gallows for this unfaithful woman. In the other hand, he may have sent her to (was it San Francisco ?) in search of just such a sucker ! People have always been in it for the money.

Come now. Poor little Georgina was found near Yalding, where Mrs. Pays mother lived. That sounds like more than just a coincidence to me. Georgina also knew the lady well, trusted her, and very likely would have allowed herself to be taken on a trip with her. Mrs.Pays shocking outburst in court, and her trying to shift the blame on another lover or on the father himself were highly suspect actions. Although aquitted, I do believe the lady was guilty.

Listen, we don't care that you killed a man. It's his own fault he lost the duel. Fleeing the scene of the robbery, though, unacceptable. Go to your jail cell young man!

I'm sorry. It's spelled " Bigahms". You might have to do a two part series, about those folks. The story goes for a few generations. I bet being the scholar that you are, could really get into it.

4:47 Mr. Faucet became infatuated with Mrs. Potts? Lol I’m going to assume that picture was not taken in the mid-1880’s when they met. She would have been around 40 years old. I dare say, she appears quite a bit older in her picture.

I was just asking my husbands 98 year old grandma if she ever heard of this case, as she lives near Clarksburg. She told me "Oh Yes, the man that killed that family. Grandpa R. Went up to Moundsville to see him hang. He belonged to something (she couldn't remember) so he was allowed to go watch.

I suspected that Mother had initiated the murder and that her husband probably had nothing to do with it. She just has the grim look of a person without a conscious, bitter and determined to get her way. Her husband likely died an innocent man.
