Watch as master glassmakers Carl Siglin and G Brian Juk create pieces in hot glass using encalmo, a Venetian glass blowing technique, while demonstrating two completely different ways to marbleize colored glass. Siglin will demonstrate a “switched axis” vertical encalmo pattern when creating a tall organic vase vessel, and Juk will incorporate the standard horizontal encalmo pattern in the creation of a flat, symmetrical platter.
