That is a dog trying to hide/cover up the fish. Like what they do with bones. Not saving it. Although it was cool to think that.

I have had more than one dog that would try to bury / hide food items with their nose. The dog may not have been concerned for the fishes welfare...

Hippos routinely kill crocodiles. Normally cocs don't mess with hippos.

The hippo would win... Hippos are bad ass. The other hippo's would likely join in the fight also. Im not an expert. Other than from the couch on Saturday afternoon.

This was an enduring video. Showing such compassion. People can learn a lot from them. Need more videos coming like this. Don't feel bad about eating meat. It's in most of all of our DNA.

Hi Kabir, I saw a video in which s large hippo bit a large croc in half. It grabbed the crocodile around the middle, tossed it in the air, and in one mighty bite , bit the crocodile into two pieces! I had a cat who actually picked up a baby bird that had gotten out of the nest and put it back in. I guess that either my cat wasn't hungry, or she didn't like that species of bird.

Crocodiles are cold blooded with low metabolism, meaning they can only attack in short energy bursts before needing to rest. Hippos are obviously warm blooded mammals with higher metabolism and therefore have a lot more energy to spend. If an adult hippo and an adult crocodile went 1v1, the crocodile might have a slight advantage to start with but the hippo would have the stamina to keep fighting long after the crocodile had exhausted itself. It's for this reason that crocodiles generally leave hippos alone.

9 times outta 10, the hippo wins. Crocs and gators are scary for humans, but hippos live in world of violence, they aint worried lol

I think it's interesting that you say you were taught to think animals are far less intelligent than they are. I know a lot of people who were taught the same thing and always grew up believing that any sign of "Intelligence or Humanity" in an animal is just coincidence... I personally was never taught such things and grew up around animals my whole life... So I didn't go into it thinking, "Animals are stupid" I went into it thinking, "What can I, as a human, learn from these animals?" And very quickly realized that each animal 100% has its own personality and quirks and things that make them Unique. And I have learned Valuable life lessons from every animal I have met. They may not communicate like us, but their little brains are doing a lot of work. They just see this world differently than we do. They aren't bound by the same social contracts that Humans are, so a lot of what they do doesn't make sense to a human... But when you learn, when you listen to what they have to teach, and realize that Silence speaks louder than words... then you will start to understand and appreciate the beauty and complexity of animal intelligence.

Cheetah’s and Leopard’s only similarity is that they’re both panthers, and that they can have similarly patterned fur, but that’s it. Leopards ambush, Cheetahs chase.
