I knew you’d have a video for these can’t get my Wolf defender right hand (off side uk) door to look will have a go at getting the barrel out using some granite and put some lubricant into the handle to see if can get it to work and lock. Cheers Mike.

Seems that the Britpart barrels i have - the sprung brass locating pin is not long enough to lock into the locating hole 😫 my barrel will not stay in properly..

My problem is I can’t lock the door with the key from the back. It will unlock, but only lock from the inside of the boot

I have one that is really gritty and stiff. What's the best way to free it up a bit? Blasting? TIA

You could take it off and wash it out...

Could you please do a video on a rear door lock of a 110 Defender my lock would not stay locked?

The lock in the video is the same door lock for the rear up to the last of the Td5's If there is an internal problem, to be honest, it may be worth considering a new lock as to open one up and play inside could be difficult for some to put back together again. I have an old rusted out lock here that I could strip and do a video for you - keep watching! MIke

any thoughts about the barrel spinning 360 degrees after installation? was able to get old barrel out. had to drill the side hole to access the push pin, but came out relatively easily. When put new barrel in, whole bit is spinning without engaging the actual locking mechanism. BUT, barrel won't come out unless i line up and push the pin. perhaps the pin not engaging the mechanism?

Is there anyway to get the barrel out if the pin has been put in backwards with out damaging it as I have replacement barrels just don’t have all the tools you used

If you have pit the spring pin pointing the wrong way and not next to the hole for getting the barrels out you may be able to use a thin hook to get the barrel out
