British Rail 1995-Warrington Bank Quay Freight Trains with Classes 08, 31, 37, 60 & 86

It's March 1995 and i'm in the North West. We are at Warrington Bank Quay to see some freight action. It was still a busy place for such workings back then unlike today. We see light engine moves, engineers trains, MGR coal trains, nuclear flasks and Freightliner. That nuclear train was so cool and amazing that brake vans were still in use in the 90's.

They were used on flask traffic right up until BR ceased freight operations...... I think Transrail kept using them as well, probably finished when DRS took over......

8:45 31556 was initially preserved but got scrapped in Preservation due to various reasons

Sadly that does happen to a few locos, Grid 56 040 being another.....

That's an interesting bit of track geometry.

The track is canted for high speed Inter-City running. Freight traffic leaving the yard comes out slow, so has no problem with the adversed canted track. Have you seen my previous upload from here in 1988? See it here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLF7Zrx9stWrc4k.html

@@SoiBuakhaoRoutemasterbus Just watched it. Canted main line was what I thought, must be quite a view from the cab going across. While I'm here, thanks for the excellent uploads, nostalgia aplenty.
