This Browning Shotgun is a 1977 Browning B25 B2 12 Gauge Shotgun. A beautiful Browning Shotgun.
The Browning B25 has been made since approximately 1931. A Browning B25 is recognised by its attached forend.
This old Browning features scroll engraving with a Capercaillie on one side of the shotgun action, and a pheasant scene on the other. On the underside is a Partridge scene.
We believe this to be a Browning Sporter and we go on the explain in the video why we believe this to be a Browning Sporting shotgun.

The features that make this Browning a sporting shotgun include the Schnabel forend. This Browning also has 28" barrels, with a wide sporting rib measure approximately 12-13mm.
Another reason why this old Browning is a sporting shotgun is the sporter stock which has an approximate 2.5" drop.
Another telling point on this Browning shotgun is that it has marked from the factory 3/4 and 1/4 Chokes.

Hi from Australia , I have a s73 build b25 with factory schnable forend , with the rounded action. Just to clear up , at the time of the gun in the video browning didn’t offer a spotter in their line up. The early guns with the rounded action and that forend were used for the super lights to bring down weight , things to consider at this time also is browning were discontinuing b25s as their general lineup and were then a custom order. The gun could have been specifically ordered with this forend and barrel length and choke, as it could have been done in any year. My b25 is a B1 with the same specs as in the video medium rib and is actually a special trap as engraved on the side of the chambers above the hinge. The gold trigger is a giveaway as it was a clays gun thing , field guns had blued thin triggers. Also in one if the other videos on a B2C , the C was a higher grade to the normal B2 better wood and slight difference in engraving.

Should we ever be faced with a ban on lead shot, how can the B25 with fixed chokes above half be modified to steel?

Could this shotgun be an import meant for another market and imported at a later date, that being the reason for the foreign bird?

This sporter was definitely for us in the UK. No other country liked Sporter guns. They either preferred Game guns or Skeet/Trap guns. The Capercaillie is a bird that can still be found in Scotland.

Hey Guys, very interesting as i watch the video i had my b25 a1 out in comparison with this sporter and i see that on my gun i have two stars at the top or what could be a half star and a full star not sure as it could be ware but deffo no minus, and at bottom barrel is the same as in this video star star minus. I was told it was three quarter and quarter hmm!. Can you shed any light on this? oh by the way it's a 1965 s.n 44584 S5
