You should see some of the latest weverse lives from Jungkook where he drinks alcohol, sings, recommends songs and listens to our recommendations, eats, watches netflix and stays up all night interacting with armys. He even fell asleep during a live broadcast once! Jungkook says that these hours long lives became his safe place where he can truly be himself just in front of his fans and no one else. He flirts with fans, oozes confidence but also gets emotional bc of the love army is sending in the comments live. Its really precious and makes me happy noticing how genuine he is. It truly feels like hanging out with my best friend lol P.S love your reactions

there are many idols and groups that make vlives paid content, but we have JK doing 4-5 hour long lives where he’s just chilling, eating, drinking, singing, even sleeping 😂 just because he wants to hang out with us. how could we not love him? 💗

I think it's amazing how bts goes live just because they wanna spend time with us or miss us, not to promote anything. Jungkook's recent lives are even better cause he's basically just chilling with us for 3 or 4 hours, listening to music, drinking, talking about his days, I love it.

Not to say the other members aren’t authentic, but for me, Jungkook has always felt the most authentic. So, I connect with him the most.

Anytime he turns on the live at least 10 million people will stop what they are doing & watch. That is no exaggeration. I don’t even know if I can adequately put it into words but to me Jungkook is the most endearing & precious person. He has such a big heart & is so genuine & sentimental. I would say he’s a romantic. There is something about him that is just so captivating. I often wonder how he is even real. How someone can be so kind & loving & pure. It’s so rare to see anyone really but especially males be so open about their feelings. I agree with you that you don’t often see it in the group interviews because he is quiet. Maybe that is why his one on one lives are so precious to me. You can see his big heart though in other ways…..how he treats strangers, how he treats animals (I mean he held a chicken & pet it till it fell asleep in his hands). He’s very observant & always the first to help someone whether it be the other members or even their filming crews or staff. I also agree with what others have said his more recent lives he is more confident & sure of himself. I love seeing all of the members go live. But there’s just something about JK’s that makes it so special. It really does seem like we are just hanging out. He talks, sometimes reads comments, listens to music, tells us songs he likes, sometimes sings. I often rewatch one of his lives when I’ve had a rough day because they are instant mood boosters.

Jungkook's love for army is incomparable

I would be really curious now about what you would think of his last weverse live compared to this. He has become so much more ocmfortable in his own skin lately, he is very relaxed, giving us all of himself, telling us how he feels, drinking beer, falling asleep on camera... I think you can't get more sincere and open as this.

One of my favorite Jungkook videos isn't live. It is his camping video where he takes us on an overnight camping trip. 45 minutes of relaxing fun with JK and I didn't have to pack, set up the tent, or even pay for gas. He also did a Live at night around the campfire for a bit. It was great. It really felt like my friend, JK and I went camping together.

the funny thins is that jungkook always takes his time to end his lives haha istg he always says "its the last song and im turning the live off" and then he proceeds to stay live for 2 hours more... i guess he hates goodbyes

I think there are a couple of small things that can also be pointed out. When he reads that their MV has gotten 100M views, he doesn't pat himself on the back for that accomplishment...he thanks ARMY and addresses them as it if is their accomplishment. BTS truly understand that it is the fans that make an artist and they always give all the credit to them (despite the fact that they have spent thousands of hours becoming the best). Another thing I noticed, after a performance BTS are bowing to ARMY....it's not them taking a bow for themselves, it's their cultural way of showing respect to the fandom. These are small but powerful distinctions between BTS and many other artists. Some artists when they reach the pinnacle of success forget that it was their fans that got them there. I think you hit the nail on the head...we are such a loyal fanbase because they show us all sides of themselves as if interacting with friends. It makes for the ultimate connection because we feel we know them as people, not just as artists. Thanks for another insightful reaction.

I want to say this…. I’ve never felt incredibly loved by an artist than the love that JK has for Army. It’s truly indescribable. RM and Jhope have always been my biases. But, even then, JK has made me feel comfortable and wanted in his life lately. His lives are so vulnerable and open. Please check them out.

Man you REALLY REALLY REALLY gotta watch his recent lives. They are long but so full of what makes this relationship so REAL. He loves us and we love him.

BTS always feel so incredibly sincere. That's definitely a huge draw to them as a group. We know we don't know everything, but they share as much of themselves with ARMY as they can/they feel comfortable with. I think Jungkook's solo lives give a great sense of just how sweet he truly is. But I also love episodes of Run BTS where all seven of them are just having fun together! That's really what sold me on them in their entirety - the fun, goofy side of them when they're just together with the staff.

i would love to see you watch one of jk’s recent lives!! since this one is three years ago although he was very close to armys here, it doesn’t really show how strong his relationship is with army compared to now, and you can definitely see how much more comfortable he has gotten with army and he has a great time and there are some great vibes in his recent ones!!

Jungkook has a special connection. He can spend hours just talking and reading and singing to Army. And lately he is very honest about his emotions. Yes thats why we love JK and are protective of him.

I know a few people have mentioned this but Jungkook's lives lately have been so cool. He has a drink and sings for us. His lives are usually quite long, like a few hours. It's just so laid back and relaxed. He even fell asleep during one of them 😂 Also want to add that although all the guys have done some amazing vlives, I feel like Jimin's are so comforting. He's just such a kind and warm person and the way he speaks is just so calming. You can really feel his sincerity. There are also some hilarious vlives where there are a few of the members together. Jin, Jimin and Jungkook in the hotel room springs to mind. I love to revisit it every now and then

i see jungkook in the title, i click. lol he has a certain aura to him that makes him stand out even amongst everyone else. getting into bts, becoming a jungkook stan sneaks up on you. from his music recommendations, to his verses in their songs, his witty humor that never goes overboard bc he isnt the type to act a certain way to entertain people, his passion, his talent, etc. undeniably, he was born to be a star, especially with that voice of his. im following his solo journey closely.

JK is actually the Livestream king of BTS. Lately he's been taking us in his home. Just puts the camera on as if we are there on the couch with him. Listening to music, drinking, cooking, and sometimes telling army off, or making jokes, he can be quite witty. He is a bit of a flirt sometimes too. Jk is an introvert, but he feels so at home when he is with Army on lives. Jungkook is the one who will do a Live during half of the night for hours. Others, like Jimin, aren't as comfy on a live as JK is sometimes, and they would ask him to join them to make it less awkward.

I'll suggest his recent live that's titled '3' where he meditates and gets a bit vulnerable/emotional? He's become alot more open and is clear with expressing his boundaries and discomfort with some things. I enjoyed that one alot.

I once had Hobi see my question on his vlive and responded when I asked about Mickey. It is still a special moment I’ll always remember and the closest I’ll ever get to having a conversation with them. They take the time to weed through all the “I don’t understand”, “ speak such and such a language” and other redundant comments to respond to sincere questions and comments and show they care for ARMY and our feeble attempts to “talk” to them.

Max the Vlives you NEED to watch and are missing out on are Jungkook's most recent ones. He's been the most active member to come on weverse lives these days. He spend around 5 hours on live drinking, singing and talking to us. The nature of his lives have changed a lottt and you'd be amazed to see how much more comfortable and open he is with us now! To be honest,JK lives feel like hanging out with a friend 😂 . In addition to that the way he speaks is very cute and expressive and he speaks slowly hence even though I don't have eng subs ,I feel like I can understand the context in the least. Similar with Jin ,he is also hanging out like a friend.

I think it's interesting pointing out his personality, he does seem very reserved around everyone else and you talking about his goofiness and how he is. I've seen a lot of reactors talk about how they never really pay attention to JK or really knew how he was but I think it's almost by design in the videos people react to. So many of newer army are introduced to BTS through fan made intro videos or clip videos and a lot of the information about JK is that the members raised him, that he's good at everything and that's about it. No one really mentions his personality or feelings. His genuineness in the way they do the other members.... It's fascinating to see when people do come to know the members more and actually get to know JK better they always seem kind of shocked by who he is, but I like how you really do analyze them so well in all your videos ❤

Their debut played to something like 300 audience. 7 young boys with dreams, insecure about themselves and their future, see in the audience adoration. Bc their label was small (and actually almost went bankrupt), BTS was often ignored/snubbed by the industry and faced unfair criticisms/hate. But, ARMYs would buy and stream the music--often repeatedly--to help climb the charts, request play on the radio, buy posters/ads to promote BTS, trend BTS over social media and protect BTS, even against other celebs. I'm a 1-yr new fan. Can't take any credit at all for the ARMYs who helped catapult BTS. Bangtannies are grateful humble, adorably so. There are many concert and award vids where you see them crying out of love and appreciation for their fans. These 7 are laser focused on their craft and the business of it, and certainly there's marketing and fanservice. However, I believe the love, gratitude, sharing, vulnerabilities are genuine. No amount of marketing or acting classes can effect/elicit such connectedness. No other group can replicate. Our Bangtannies are simply precious.

It's really amazing how BTS have perfected the art of giving without expecting much in return. Maybe that's what connects me to them so much. It almost feels motherly, in a way. Giving without expecting anything in return. I think that it's true love.

I haven’t seen many of JK’s v-lives. I cannot get over how full my heart is with love for this beautiful young man. He is so authentic and loving. My feelings for him have increased ten-fold from watching this v-live. I would not have thought that was possible.

Among the members Jung Kook does the best VLIVE. In one of his birthdays, spent 2 hours VLIVE with ARMY. He just kept going on, "I'll do one more song" and he kept going on.

The relationship between BTS and Army is unique - a genuine, sincere and real love, reciprocated. The reason I am Army is exactly that. Yes, their music is outstanding, but I can enjoy their music without being Army. Yes, their variety shows etc. are all entertaining, but again, I can watch the content without being Army. The reason I pay annual membership fees, and watch all of their content, sitting for hours watching live streams when I don’t understand Korean, worrying about their well-being and praying for them - it’s because of who they are and how deeply they connect with us. Their honour, integrity, kindness, decency, the way they live their principles, and their desire to establish a relationship with their fans, they want to give back to us, they want to share as much as they can, and they sincerely want to help us in any way they can. This is love. How can we not love them back?? Jungkook has such a sweetness, a generosity of spirit, that we are inspired to be equally sweet with him (I don’t understand how anyone could ever be rude or unkind to JK), we want to engage and connect with him, and we just want to watch the expressions on his face (he is very expressive). 7:11 Jungkook isn’t very confident in English, so when he says something in English you know he really means it, and is serious about getting it across to as many ARMYs as possible.

The thing with BTS is that they are literally growing up in front of us, and we all feel a deep attachment to them. Their struggles and challenges and glory, everyone is a part of it. For me, when I read the lyrics, it connects differently. The respect and humbleness they show is so charming. Can you imagine a global fan following of this scale just filled with love and support? Wow I loved this video Max it’s honestly so interesting. I’ve always had a hard time understanding why I (and so many others) feel so connected to JK. But when you explain our subconscious behaviours it begins making more sense. I’ve been an ARMY for 4 years and JK was always my bias but it’s strange to think about it like i definitely think my attachment to him derived from his attachment to ARMY. And like you explained it so well, he sees ARMY as an ‘energy’, a comfort place he can be himself around and I think that’s what’s so rare in celebrities. We see some of the deepest parts of who JK is but he’s also an idol, so that mix of attainability is what makes him desirable I think

You could just imagine why those numbers of people watch him even if most of us do not understand most of the things he says. It is because we feel his sincerity, genuineness, and love for us. He is the most amazing artist...most amazing person you could ever see.

In the early years they would have "fan sign" events. BTS sat at a long table and fans filed past with autograph books or photos (or even diaries!) for BTS to sign. BTS held their hands, looked in their eyes, answered questions, asked questions, joked, received little gifts, etc. When they do live videos now, they are continuing to relate to fans one to one, although it can't be in person as before. And your point about him taking his time to say goodbye is a good one. I have been to over 30 concerts in my lifetime with different artists, and BTS is the ONLY group that seriously thanks, talks, and says goodbye at the end of every concert. Other artists might say "thank you Chicago it's been great!". BTS will spend 20-30 minutes at the end of a concert waving and talking and giving photo opps. They are so awesome!!

One thing about BTS and ARMY is that it doesn't matter which member of ARMY is watching...whether it be an Elder member such as myself (I am a grandmother member of ARMY at 68 years old. To me they are loved and I am as proud of them as a Canadian Grandmother) or a younger member, male or female. We are ALL made to feel equally important! I am one of the fans that did the other half of the heart with him!

i never thought of why BTS connects with ARMY... in a way that we're irreplaceable and play a unique role in their life... that with us, there's someone they feel they can share things with in a certain dimension that can't be done with anyone else... almost made me cry to think of that. T__T i always thought we needed them more than they needed us, despite how many times they said that BTS is nothing without ARMY...

Jungkook is my bias, I love him to bits. And part of why I love him is his strong ADHD energy. Again - I'm NOT saying he HAS ADHD, but as an adult-diagnosed ADHD brain, with an ADHD child, I feel very connected to a lot of his traits and quirks. New and changing interests. Sweetly childlike and super focused and mature in turn. Very quick to pick up new skills, but admits to NOT being able to focus on stuff he doesn't find interesting... Zones out, and often starts stimming with his hands. Quirky and super social, interspersed with introvert quiet time. Again - not trying to hobby-diagnose him, but one of the best ways to manage ADHD without medication is a) lots of physical activity and b) lots of help and reminders, lists and schedules and someone THERE to help you stay focused and get through your tasks. So either way, his lifestyle up to this point has been pretty much PERFECT for managing any executive dysfunction or dopamin deficiency he might have experienced. ;) (I wish I had a manager to tell me when I'm supposed to head out to my appointments... 😆)

Max, you had me smiling throughout this whole video - thank you! At the beginning, you mentioned that JK is often a bit quiet and withdrawn in live broadcasts of the entire group. I don't speak Korean and I don't know more about Korean culture than what I've learned from watching BTS content. However, I think the age hierarchy may be a reason why JK speaks less in group settings. He's the youngest and it's a matter of good manners that he stays a bit in the background behind the other members, all of whom are older than him. Even though they all love him, and they all seem to be very close, there have been situations where they spoke - often half-jokingly, but the other half apparently having a grain of truth in it - about the use of honorifics when addressing one another, the younger ones being expeced to do some of the less desirable household chores, the respect they have for Jin as the eldest, etc. This makes me think that, although they seem to be pretty relaxed with one another most of the time, deep down below they are at least aware of the traditional age hierarchy, and this influences the way they act towards one another.

Please check out a more recent live, the recently went live like 2 days ago, and multiple other times this month, our communication skills with each other definitely has become more comfortable and intimate(platonically of course). especially with jungkook, right now army and jk are at a deeper level of comfort i feel like in a way, these past few lives have been very intimate and comfy, even more relaxed. so relaxed he fell asleep on his couch lol. it's a very beautiful thing to see honestly

I just watched both your analyses on the bts x army relationship and my thoughts are: one thing that makes the connection is where bts started out. Because they started small and organically grew into their success, they had years where they had a smaller fanbase and did much more intimate fansigns and events and stuff, could meet fans out on the street more freely, could play more intimate venues...and because they faced a lot of hate and hardship they leaned on the fans a lot and built friendship and trust. Now the relationship has to be a bit different in practicality, but bts kept the heart of it alive and never forget to treat the fandom like a part of the team and family no matter how big we get. Jk has always felt especially close with army and I think it's because being the youngest, he grew up with army. He also has a particularly big heart and sincere personality. I think I enjoy his solo lives the best...don't tell the others lol

Really loving seeing you react to BTS. I think if you watch their Bangtan Bombs which are their behind the scenes moment you get to see them in a more natural setting as they're not so focused on the camera compared to their Interviews.

The thing that make me Facinated in being fan of BTS, which is different from any other artist I’ve seen, is that it seems to be a two way relationship. We give them love and support and they turn back to us. When Jk say you know, army? I can feel it as he is talking to me, as the “entity” Army, but me nevertheless… as I am part of it. This is the kind of connection they managed to create with us

To me the lives are amazing and are indeed vital for the idol-stan interaction. With the news of obsessive and selfish stalkers, and their tendency to stomp over boundaries, it feels good to have a place where it's allowed to reach out to your idol. It's a safe space for the fan, knowing that interaction is welcome and appreciated, and the streaming adds a virtual guardrail, so that the idol doesn't get overwhelmed and crowded. It's good to have a space, where one as a fan doesn't feel like it's an intrusion to reach out to your idol.

My first Vlive, of course, it's in Korean, no subtitles. But watching them on your phone especially, it was...I was...It was mesmerizing. It truly felt like you were video chatting with someone you really knew. It was addictive too. I had to go to work, but I didn't want to turn it off. How could I turn off Suga chatting to me? Now I watch youtube lives with people, and there's something amazing about when they respond directly to your comments. It makes you....totally connect. But these parasocial relationships are truly trippy.

Maybe you can watch the live they have after the first Grammy awards they got nominated but did not win. You will see that they are trying to reassure armys that they are fine although we know that they are deeply hurt for not winning. That wa so heartwarming for us and although you know they are sad they still try to tell they are fine and don't want Armys to feel bad. They are such wonderful people. Love them so much! 💜💜💜
