Yeah, it is known that Jimin has a talent for answering questions without really answering them 😂 And Jin is actually very important for Jimin, he once said that Jin taught him how to be happy and enjoy life and not always feel like he has to be serious and working 24/7 - another great friendship, just like the whole of BTS 🥰

Also Jimin has such a warm way of using the Korean language! I rly hope everyone gets to know it because as a Korean myself, i've never seen someone who speaks as gentle and warm as jimin. THE TRANSLATIONS CANT DELIVER IT 😭

Out of all of the members, Jimin is the most complex and mysterious to me.

Jin and Jimin is an underrated duo. A lot of people dont realize the chaos they get up to behind the scenes but they're both such compelling people.

As a psychologist with an interest in personality psychology, Jimin and Jin are very interesting to me. They're very complicated, and Jimin, despite his extreme openness, is very mysterious at the same time. But I like his personality a lot.

Jin was dealing with depression and burnout around this time. He was not fully himself and was forcing himself to not look tired on camera during this era. He talked about his burnout in his song abyss.

Trust me, more often than not Jin is on the receiving end of the jokes and he takes them just as easily as he dishes them out. The maknaes have made it their mission in life to tease Jin every chance they get 🤣

Both Jin and Jimin are really similar. Both try to ease up the atmosphere and people around them. Both even though it feels like are open with us, they never really do give away anything about themselves. Both have a guarded wall around them. And I adore them both.

I can't fully explain what I mean by this, but Jimin always gives me Princess Diana vibes. He is gentle, thoughtful and emotionally intelligent. He can disarm people, heal them and make them feel like the most special people in the room, but can also be mischievous and fun. But I also believe he doesn't share everything he's thinking or coping with. And knowing that adds to his charm.

The older members have expressed multiple times that even though jimin is one of the younger memhers hes the most adult like out of all of the members. One of the members compared him to being the grandfather of bts. Also Namjoon has said multiple times that he has so much respect for jimin. Also a question was asked oof whats one thing even armys dont know and Namjoon answered that even though jimin looks like a. baby hes so mature. Its interesting the members bring up how wise and mature jimin is and as u said he really brings out the best in people, even taehyung has said that something that would always stick with him is when jimin said to him I cant solve this problem for you but ill be there to always support you and he said he remembered thinking wow this guy is such an angel. Jimin really does have a way with words to which even korean people have spoken about how it was incredibly difficult to translate jimins speeches because of how much weight his words carried

Jimin is just like that, when he's talking to someone or in a group setting, he refuses to take credits and distribute it around like candies 😭 but you should see the moments he praised himself, usually he says those things when in individual settings. Like when they're individually writing about themselves and jimin will answer something like "My role model? Myself". He doesn't have a problem taking credits when he think he earned it, it's just his standard is so high. One of the few times Jimin mentioned one of his iconic solo stage performances is when he raised his hand and reminded everyone in the room he went viral as orange Haired boy for the Perfect Man performance (he really went massively viral for that, it was during the 2nd yr after their debut and they're not that famous yet so you can see how big deal it was, not everyone in idol industry gets to be viral like Jimin and you can see how proud he was of Perfect Man impact). Another instance that you can see Jimin deliberately deflect praised is during his Vogue interview when the question was like "Your solo songs broke so many records, what can you say about that" and Jimin answered "I feel like i should say i should work harder and do better". I'm glad the editing team let those words be printed like that instead of editing it to just "i will work harder". Jimin said "i feel like i should...", implying he's saying that because how IT SHOULD and not what he actually feels. Jimin is really a complex individual, lmao, and that's why he's famous for non-answering questions. It's a paradox really because Jimin said what he wants is to always express himself but also at the same time hates lying so he opts for not saying anything at all. He's in the industry where he can't say everything directly so he does it in roundabout ways. He said in different interviews, he can't fully show the real him but he tries his best to be as close to it. Like he doesn't even need to say that, we all know they have to keep some things to themselves but even with that, Jimin is honest. He's honest about not being able to show who he is 100% , he even said around 80%😂 Anyway, Jimin has always been a person full of contradiction. He looks soft and adorable off stage, then a sexy, charming beast on stage. He's a mature conversationalist but can be found giggling over the most childish things. He's humble and deflects praised but has no problem praising himself especially when no one is doing it but he thinks he deserves it😂. He's adamant to this day that his role model is himself. Him always saying he can do better even if he did something amazing came from a place of confidence too, like he's literally saying his potential is just there and he can do better, he is better. He says he wants to be honest always then refuses to answer things directly (probably because he doesn't want to lie) but it's still a form of not telling the truth, lol. He said he wants to always express himself then he will do it with actions instead of words. You'd think he's in this box then the next day you will read or watch a new content that contradicts what you thought of him, lol. I really love how complex Jimin is.

Jin and jimin have a veryyy great dynamic and i feel it's a little underated from army, but you can see them interact in vlives alot, they are hilarious together😂. Jimin said many times how important of an impact jin had in his life and thoughts🥺.

i know this is about jin and jimin (and i adore their dynamic SO MUCH) but you saying jimin kind of allows others to be themselves and comfortable around him really shows to me why tahyung (v) and him (jimin) are so close taehyung is such a quirky guy and being a quirky person myself too we always seek someone to completely understand and accept us and that's jimin in a nutshell even if jimin can't personally relate he creates a safe environment to be yourself and embraces that

it's always interesting to me that a lot of people seem to view jin and jimin as a rare combo. i got into bts in early 2017 after seeing jin in law of the jungle, and immediately started watching youtube compilations like "best of jin, jin moments" etc. when i watched them, i thought jin/jimin must be a popular duo bc they're always goofing off together, but are also really sweet to each other. jimin was the member i saw with jin the most in those vids, so it was a bit of a shock it was kind of a rarepair among fans. lol. i do agree that jimin has a high emotional intelligence. he definitely adjusts how much he teases/ how sincere he is based on the mood of the person. i think in this particular interview jimin could tell that jin didn't have the energy for his full joking persona, and gently led jin to taking it down, without it being down completely.

I get why RM said Jimin is the most matured member ..he may be playful but when it comes to something serious,he never disappoints. That's why the members rely on him a lot.

I don’t think jin gets upset or doesn’t absorb others jokes. He gets teased a lot in the group and he doesn’t get upset ever about it and that is being in a culture where they respect elders a lot. That’s why members are grateful towards having jin as the oldest member as he is easy going. He barely uses his power as the eldest.

Jimin laughs the most when Jin jokes

Jin’s personality is so interesting. He is such a perfect balance.

Jimin is a neat person. He is this juxtaposition of the cutesy idol girls fawn over, great dancer, high pitch and delicate voice, very giggly . But he’s also really smart and thoughtful. He reads a lot and has a lot of deep thoughts. I think only RM is intellectual to that level also. Jimin can be silly and then turn around with something really deep and existential. I’ve seen clips where he is having random conversations with people who are not BTS members, about history or miscellaneous scientific concepts or philosophy. He can be goofy or silly but he always looks for the deeper meaning going on around him.

Jin mentioned he jokes only with those who can take them and he receives them well too :) Which is one of the reason he jokes around with JK the most, they are compatible that way… both give and take After JK, it’s Jimin and JHope who go with his humor …

i do agree that jimin owns a key to everyone's heart somehow. he changes his approach to people depending on who it is. you can see it easily for example comparing how he interacts with his only dongsaeng jungkook (it's playful and touchy, a lot of mutual teasing) and how he interacts with yoongi (less tactile, respects his boundaries, but engages in verbal friendly banters right away). sure we all change our personas with different people, but jimin kinda knows naturally how to make his companion feel comfortable in his presence, as you said. now i also remembered random fact that jimin is called "professional yoongi handler" 🤣 i guess exactly bc this talent of his to find a right approach to people

You're correct when you mentioned the comfort the members find in Jimin. They've all made it very clear, that when they need someone to really listen or to just be there, it's Jimin they seek. They all have different bonds and comfort levels with one another. But Jimin seems to have that extra something they all seek and need. Jin and Jimin's dynamic is amazing and is sometimes overlooked. Jimin gives Jin the comfort of knowing he isn't being judged and is free to be as he is. They have V-lives you can watch to see more into their brotherhood. I think you should also watch J-Hope's V-live after the Lollapalooza concert if you haven't already. Jimin had flown out to be there for him, and J-hope explain what Jimin's presence alone had done for him at that moment. Jimin will travel all over the world to be there for his brothers, and he's proven that time and time again.

Jimin is such a humble and precious soul, he's always so down to earth and appreciative of everyone around him and give them the credit even when he deserves the most of it. I really appreciate people who take the time to know him and see how incredibly talented and smart he is.

Jimin sometimes teases jin and Jin does it too like actual brothers and jimin appreciates and motivates jin the most. You should react to how soekjin loves jimin and back video from Jennie eats, their duo is really the sweetest 🥺😭🤞

I personally think that Jin is like a chamaeleon. A little of his personality changes or demeanor changes based on who he is around. I also will add that Jin is actually probably one of the shyest members even though sometimes it doesn’t feel like it (especially if is not around the other members).

it will be hard for you to catch up on 8 years worth of content but based on what the members have said before, Jin is slightly protective of Jimin. He's known to shield him from others where possible. And give him a little extra TLC when possible. Their dynamic is actually really fascinating because both of them are mischievous but with a different expression. And a lot of fun together. At this particular period of time though, Jin was subdued and on a recovery from some emotionally tough times. I'd say Jimin calibrated himself keeping that in mind too. Their bond is wonderful and special.

Jimin wasn't exactly teasing Jin with the handshake that turned into a fist bump. It was during Covid and fist bumps were proper at that time. So Jimin changed it up last minute likely as an example for Army.

It may not be visible in this interview But Jin is basically a big brother to jimin and the rest of the guys in many ways. After 10 years, jins philosophy of life has rubbed off on all of the members Especially mbti j types like jimin, hoseok and yoongi. They have picked up certain ways of looking at life from jin. Yoongi goes fishing with jin even if music is the only main thing he really spends time on, Jhope the strict dance teacher loosens up completely around jin and goofs around even btwn work, And jimin who used to be extremely hardworking (to the point of exhaustion) back in their trainees days said that jins view of life changed his self critical mentality. I also belive jins philosophy of living life freely has changed bts's career decisions in a lot of ways. Their want for longevity I feel like comes from the idea that they truly enjoy doing their work instead viewing it as just work. Many of them back then viewed the idol life as just hard work and results, I feel like jins influence has changed some of their mentalities. Longevity can only come if people truly enjoy what they do.

Jimin is known for having a great eloquence and a lovely personality 💜 he so sincere and good at using carefully his words. he's good to people and brings a lot of good energy that's why I fell for him easly and he's my bias😍. Jin seems sarcastic the most of time but he's good too with words maybe has a different way to express himself or his feelings but he stills good 👍 I love Jin and his relationship with Jimin and the members 💜 he a really nice guy

I adore this two together. Jin is such an happy, honest and encouraging person, I may be wrong but I see his way of thinking very clear and straight, paired with the methodic more detailed oriented mind that is Jimin ❤ Wow! Jimin has an art for speach, say it all and say nothing at all at the same time, he always gives you just enough.

I would like you to react to a suga and jimin conversation, they have such an interesting dynamic. So much that sometimes suga responds for jimin. They seem to have a true brother relationship and trust one another implicitly. So interesting as they both seem to have the same dynamics.

To me they are one of the most hard working people I know.With one that word hard to stay and one who worked hard to learn.Jimin is a calm dude 😎 it's hard to penetrate into him but all in the same time he expresses himself really well.But I think it's also a similar case with Jin.He always stays fun and composed at the same time, knowing when to be vulnerable.They are similar but different in various angles.So ultimately the pairing was awesome...they saw each other in another light.

I think part of why Jin looked more interested with the Christmas Love question was because most of the interview was about BE, an album they all worked at together and Jin probably already knew most of what he was asking (and I think that's actually why he sounds rehearsed, I think it's kind of his way of poking fun at the concept of them asking each other these questions when they were most likely there 😆). But Christmas Love was Jimin's solo release and Jin probably knew way less about the song than about BE. It also wasn't really part of promotions, so he probably knew that that question especially will be interesting.

7:30 yes so true!! He's soo soft spoken it just melts your heart!! But also he points out very important things time to time in a calm way, even when he's a bit not in so good mood, idk it just inspires me to keep myself calm too :') And for Jin, we know how he may joke around and all but he does his job in an unique way...he's just the right person truly! Jimin has such a beautiful way of talking and expressing himself, I think him and Namjoon have a similar way of communicating. Jimin does know how to give himself credit, but at the same time has very high standards. And Jin definitely can take the teasing. If anything that’s why he teases people it’s cause he wants that back and forth. He does this mostly w/JK, but with Jimin as well. Also to me Jin is a very straightforward type of person but at the same time he keeps a lot things to himself, similar to Jimin, they both don’t give too much away.

You are right: when Jimin follows Jin's humour, both are very happy. But Jimin also likes to make this thing of interrupting the others' humour from time to time -I've seen him making it with Jin, with Suga, with RM and with V-. It's interesting, because it also shows how his empathetic reaction is voluntary when he does -in my mind I think of a cat: he will follow you, only because he wanted to do it first, but he can turn and leave to make you know that he makes his choices-. Something that I noticed too is that he will do that if he is sure that the other won't be hurt, so even when he is in that mood, he is paying attention to the other's emotions.

Jimin is the human embodiment of loyalty. So loyal to his friends. And then so much talent. And funny (just watch Don’t Wake Me Up). Just an amazing, genuine human. The ultimate bias wrecker. And Jin - talent, so handsome, funny, thoughtful. And two introverts. Love them. (Their age difference also determines their formal interaction).

I am always charmed & really love how Jimin speaks, his clam, gentle, warm & respectful tone of his voice, how every choice of Jimin’s words are always kind, respectful, warm, loving & positive especially when he speaks Korean & the ways those words comes so naturally to him & most of all he sees, takes people in such positive & kind ways with open-minded, respect & understanding, without any preconceptions & judgements. You are so right that Jimin is very rare person who do bring out the best in people around & make them feel special, respected, loved & cherished. And you have pointed out several times that Jimin is guarded & I think Jimin is guarded & careful in front of camera because from the early period of BTS career, at his tender teen ages, he has received so much illogical toxic hates from BTS haters & BTS toxic solo stans. These haters have sensed his gentleness, his emotional sensitivities & unjaded, unguarded vulnerability & used it to their advantage & has targeted him specifically, has dissected Jimin’s every words, every moves, twisted them & even fabricated some horrible delusional narratives & spread around to discredit his good kind image, tried to destroy him & BTS.(Sadly, Jimin, who is so loving & sweet, is the one who has received most death threats among BTS members.) Among BTS(even compared to all other Kpop idols), Jimin is the one who has joined last, received shortest training (6 months as trainee & less the 6 months as pre debut idol, which is extremely short for Kpop idol) because of that, he wasn’t fully prepared & learned(The entertainment company do teach these Kpop trainees about these toxic haters & fans behaviors & specially teach them how to handle them, how to take them & how to avoid them.) how negative & toxic these haters & fans can be, how easily fan’s love could turn hate & how to handle them properly, until he has really experienced so horribly. And we can feel that Jimin was such a good child, good son & good friend, was surrounded with love while growing up & hasn’t really experience these kinds of negativities, blind hates with horrible toxicities. In his young age, for him to experience these kinds of toxic illogical hates when he wasn’t even prepared… I still do remember the words Jimin said in 2015 interview & how RM has kindly consoled him. Jimin: “I didn’t want to be a burden, make BTS look bad, so I tried to stay behind, keep myself quiet, just do my best from there.” RM: “Jimin, why do you think like that? Don’t you know how important you are in BTS?” Anyway, after what Jimin has experienced & still experiencing, we could all understand why he is guarded in front of camera.

Found the tension in this interview so interesting. Jimin seems to get so self conscious when he's not empathizing with someone else and is most comfortable connecting deeply with someone, while Jin is all about disarming others with humour and making things easy and fun. They have clashing connection styles, so it's neat to see how they push past them for each other.

i think Jin's "rushing and scripted-tone" with how he delivers his questions, is because he doesn't want the spotlight on him, since the interview should be focused on Jimin. i might be wrong, but that's how i analyze it as a stan for this duo for years.

Even though they're not that spaced out in age you can just see how much the older members adore the younger members although their dynamics are all different the way the hyungs look at the maknaes are all the same there is just this fondness in their eyes that you can see.

If Jin and Kook pick on each other like siblings, than during Run BTS and such Jimin and Jin act like frenemies 😂 The hangul special comes to mind in particular. Straight sabotage. Then you put all three in a room together and its so chaotic 😅

Oh you're absolutely right when you say that you sometimes feel like shaking Jimin for being so humble and not acknowledging his own skills and accomplishments, I believe it's the same for many armys (myself included). And in regard to Jinmin: these two have a very warm and playful dynamic, which I love. I find them particularly interesting because although they're seemingly very open about many things and they make you feel like you know them very well as a fan, in reality, they're the most private members that we know the least about. When it comes to Jimin, most things we know came from third parties (the other members, his childhood friends, his classmates and teachers from school). Another thing you mentioned which was very spot-on is the kind, gentle and warm way in which Jimin speaks. Many Korean armys have said that Jimin speaks in a very respectful and gentle way at all times, and that it makes the other person and the listeners feel very warm inside. It's something that unfortunately doesn't come across that way in translations. In official content, Jimin also speaks in a way that's easy to translate (using basic grammar structures and easy vocabulary) to make it easier for translator fans to translate for international Armys or Armys who are learning Korean. Jimin is the most compassionate and considerate person I've ever seen and I learn more and more from him every day on how to be a better person.

You know this thing in which you feel validated when someone else things similar to you. This is why I love your videos, you are very clear, have a great insinght and undertanding not only of how good someone is at communicating but also of how a person is perceived trought their speech. And I agree with you 100% of the time when is about the boys of BTS. So I hope you can keep going on, scaping the outlier crazy fans and spreading this good feeling of undertanding and important information about communication skills, as you have been doing so far. As someone who is a Jimin bias and has watched almost all of the content that features Jimin, he tends to let his guard down sometimes in the times when he is with other members but is not such a planned setting, like Bon Voyage or some Vlives. The Vlives with Jimin, Jungkook and Jin are pure caos. The three of them tease each other non stop.

It's funny - hearing you talk about Jimin like this made me realize a lot about myself. I always wondered why people were so REAL with me when talking to me 1 on 1. Getting into really personal subjects they wouldn't talk with others about, confiding in me and just ... really show themselves and be themselves. It's a lovely thing but it can get overwhelming when people only ever have real talks with you. It's interesting to learn that I probably just have that type of personality that makes people want to be vulnerable. Because just like Jimin, I have no problems talking about my feelings or being vulnerable myself.

As mature and soft spoken as jimin is he will absolutely goof around and tease Jin even more than Jin teases the members. They have hours long livestreams together just having the best time ever and laughing non stop

Jimin can really read people, and that what makes them let their guard down . Hes the one if say suga opens up too the most when they talked about amygdala in the sooo scene and he poured out all of his feeling to jimin and jimin jsut being their listening and being an amzinf friend. Being able to do this with suga is great, but he's good at this with all the members . He holds the group together in that way, and all the members always say ye ine if the mist is hard working once. Also the whole interview when he gave bit credit to himslef he alqays mad sure to point out how much the ithers have done or how good they are, how amazing . I liked that jin said at the beginning. Please talk informally, as you put his big, older, brother guard down to make it more comfortable

Jimin doesn’t open up fully in front camera though we see he is always joking around the members. All members consider him as their support system & motivator but we haven’t seen that much how he is that close to everyone. Specially with Suga, RM & Jin. Often members say he is the most hardworking person among all but we have never happened to see that side as well. We always see he is just playing around the members. Jimin is intelligent and mysterious at the same time.

Most Run BTS or interviews where it's just the 7 of them, it's usually Jin or Suga or RM being the host/interviewer And specifically these 3(sometimes even Jhope) because they're very polished that way. The way they ask questions in serious settings like this feel formal(as it should) or in a fun atmosphere they're able to add to the chaotic energy So for us who have seen Jin lead interviews, rather than rehearsed, we feel he just has the talent for it and is polished Also in this case, the interviewers(Jin) are given some questions & Jin is getting up those questions as part of a conversation

That was great, I'm a psychologist and I've been following them for a long time, but I've only been around for a while so I could explore their personalities especially these two, Jin and Jimin, they're exactly what I said. I am amazed that you were able to describe them so accurately from this interview alone. Unfortunately, as I said, I did not understand all the words you said, some of them were difficult for me, but I had a lot of fun with that.

I honestly loved reading all the comments and I can see how well ARMY knows Jimin - at least for what we see. The sentiment is the same. Regardless of how guarded he is or what he chooses to share he is a beautiful person inside and out. 💜

Jin is very much an introvert. He loves joking with the younger members (although Tae doesn’t always respond well as he thinks Jin is “acting”), but with others outside the group he is excessively polite. He has said that he doesn’t do well with people he doesn’t know.

loved your thoughts on these two! It's interesting to put those two together cuz they're both kinda cagey in their own ways.

I think some of Jin’s demeanor comes from being the oldest. He would use that power in a situation like this. In a formal situation Jimin will honor the hierarchy as well. Also, it’s interesting that Jimin can make a person feel comfortable and seen, even on the screen talking to the the viewers. I think that is the reason he is beloved to so many people who have never met him.

It's funny how differently they act to each other. These interviews are kindof cold/set up, but they're doing a good job of being themselves during them. Jin is usually pretty distant or avoids in depth answers, and Jimin reacts usually the way the other person does, they can both be quiet or loud, it's interesting.

You can see a little bit of real Jimin in one interview - it´s only like a minute or two (it´s called something like Jimin talking to his younger self or Jimin´s message to himself) when he expresses his view on himself when he started in showbusiness versus now. It´s heartbreaking! He wanted to portray this tough, strong man with muscles but it was not him, he was afraid to show the real him - gentle soul, soft spoken, graceful, feminine in a way. I appreciate Big Hit and Bang PD to let the boys be how they wanted to be. That´s their charm. Please react to it, it´s short so maybe you can put it into some compilation or something but it´s definitely worth it and it´s a huge window into Jimin´s soul. Also he hides lots of his emotions behind smile but in that one minute you can see the real thing.
