I never really knew anything about S.Korea until BTS. We heard about N. Korea all the time. Then this band called BTS came on the scene, and I wanted to know everything about S.Korea. From the language, culture, food, history, the countryside and I wanted to visit the beautiful palaces. BTS has got me riding a bike, reading, traveling, taking risks and trying new things. It's all about living your best life.

The boys decided to enlist on their own terms and im proud of them to do so. Not letting anyone esp the government to decide for them. They decide to serve for the country for pride and respect and to stop any spiteful remarks on them despite their great contributions for their country. We will wait for them. 💜

bts bring 3.6 billion every year into the south korean economy, they are already serving their country to such a high degree!! but i am so proud of them to take this decision to cancel the postponement of their service and honour their country despite many high gov officials using them as puppets, controlling their art, and making them stay in the industry for the money it makes. it seems every day bts gives me a reason to be a proud fan- we will wait for them forever and wish them luck!!

Just a fyi, its not that you can ‘choose’ to go or not go for the military service in Korea, it is a ‘must’, you cant avoid it unless you are partially or fully disabled. BTS need to go now because they are reaching the maximum age limit that they need to go to the military by.

I will start by saying we ARMYs will wait and support BTS in all they do. I could not be more proud of them and their actions. They have always showed love and respect towards their home country. I just believe that they are not receiving the same respect that they give to everyone else. **BTS has provided BILLIONS of USD to the SK government. **They have been Ambassadors for the Culture and Tourism of Seoul, SK for 6 years. **They have spoken at the UN 3 times. **They served as Presidential Envoys for Future Generations to the UN. With diplomatic passports. **They spoke at the White House, with the President and News stations for Asian inclusion and stopping Asian hate. **Each of the members donate millions of Korean won to the hungry, education, health of children...(each million won = ~88,000 USD.) Theses donations also include international causes. **They brought in up to 4 million USD to UNICEF, to stop abuse, bullying and neglect of adolescents. ** They have brought awareness of the world to the mental health crisis of adolescents 10-18 yrs old. Including suicide being the #1 cause of death in SK. **BTS has taught people all around the world, of all ages, and ethnicities how to Love themselves so that you can love others fully. ** BTS continued to gather with the world online with concerts and vlogs when the pandemic hit, so that people could avoid depression and feeling isolated. **They provided a free concert to the world inorder to help SK to win the bid for 2030 Expo. 70M+ attended it online while 50-56,000 attended in person and up to 20,000 attended the live views in person. That is not even including the #s for the economic impact of all the foreigners that attended, rented hotel rooms, ate at restaurants, bought souvenirs, or paid for transportation. ** BTS has promoted the learning of Korean language and Hangul as well as Korean Culture. Through their songs and the way they dress in hanbok. **BTS has also won every award Nationally and Internationally including 2+ Grammy Nominations. And countless Billboard #1s. **They have 23+ Guiness Book of World Records, under their names. Must I continue... I am a 45yrs old BTS ARMY and have been so for the past 6 years. They helped me to find strength to survive 9 brain surgeries and to also survive the loss of my nursing career due to my disabilities. We ARMYs say that BTS and ARMY find each other when they are needed the most. And it is so true. I used to think that since I am American, then I don't have a say on what I think about how they are being treated by their own government. However, I have come to realize that BTS does good for the ENTIRE world and losing BTS won't just affect SK but it will affect the World. So we all have a right to speak up. Thank you for talking about this and the unfairness of it all. BTS deserves better from their own Country. What is so sad though is that BTS will never tell their country "no" because their whole career is about showing their pride in their country and doing what they can to protect the youth of South Korea. The government is only concerned about what they can get from BTS and making them "Dancing Dolls". What a shame. I will end it with a saying or two from ARMY and BTS.
