Great to hear! People avoid the carby cars here in Australia, but having done the swap I reckon its almost as easy - pretty much just the tank which is extra. The carb cars here are heaps cheaper and are the base ones so lighter too. Good luck with the swap and yell out if you have any questions i'll do my best to help.

@@teamaxlestands it's a similar thing with cost of the carby cars here in the UK. I did watch your other videos of yours saying about the tank and hardliners which I'm happy to do. I have an EG with a B16A2 turbo that I completed last year. Thank you again for your wiring info it's so valuable. ✌️

Now after reading your comments it's easier to just run the relay and ignition wire......

Yeah i would do this (add a relay) rather than replacing the whole loom. That would be a massive job!

Hi , I’m doing exact same build , carby eg k24 , glad that found your channel . Do you mind to explain a little bit more for the wiring harness , should I just get HR eg conversion harness and add a fuel pump relay ?

I have had a few people asking, maybe i need to do a quick little video to cover the slight extra work there is for the people wanting to do a carby conversion. I used a double relay found in the efi eg/ek and kind of bridged the 2 relays. I've seen people swapping over the whole under dash loom, it seems like a lot of work. You could simply use a normal relay triggered by power from the ignition and grounded by the ecu.

I had a 95 ej1 automatic coupe LHD shell I stripped for the wire harness. Wanted to know if that would be easier to put in the RHD carby? Or just leave it.

So you don’t utilise the accord euro harness at all? You used a crv harness instead?

That's right.. Mainly because it didn't have a c101 plug so it was a bit daunting to replug that as well as convert the dbw to cable throttle

Yeah mate, one end goes to the wire in the harness and the other end goes to ground. Watched your vids while editing this and saw you were doing similar wiring. HR harness looks much better quality than the one i got. Better labeled and more than 5 wiring colours haha

@@teamaxlestands thanks dude!! I've noticed the ek swap harness is really simple.. maybe thats just a eg vs ek thing. But yeah glad they labled stuff. My chassis is auto and a crv and its jdm so finding wiring info is a real tedious process because you have to triple check everything... im still not certain mine will turn over first try and i might have to bridge the park inhibitor switch for the auto loom... also the reverse lights is an unknown currently 😂😂😂

I give mine a crank on the weekend (ECU removed) just to make sure i got oil pressure. I recall doing the bridge for natural/park switch on an auto to manual conversion in the past... haha fingers crossed on the reverse lights. I think they should work through the HR loom and then into your body loom but yeah without testing its tricky to know :)

@@jdmnuggets Just went down and checked my reverse lights come on without the ecu plugged in too. So you should be able to check that out.

Did you had to repin a few of the wires on the c101 plug like in vtec academy for it to run ktuner? Thanks

Yeah that's right I followed Brians (vtec academy) video guide - He's a Honda guru! There was only a few wires which needed to be moved around which he covers in detail.

hmm we never got the K20 CRV's here in Australia. The one i used was a 05-06 CRV with the K24A1. I used a 05-06 as they have the wiring to suit the Ktuner style ECU. I have a video coming where i show how to modify an AUTO CRV loom from 02-04 (earlier style) to the newer style ECU.

That said i dont think the K20 would be too much different. Possibly they will have different crank sensor plug (maybe intake cam too?) and the 02-04 one should work with Hondata Kpro without any mods besides a couple of plugs (if its a manaual car)

yeah thats right i used a K20 one and then there are 5 or 6 wires to repin. I think you msged me on instagram and i just sent you the link to a vid on how to do that.
