I too started getting into Monstrum by buying their QD cantilever mounts, throw levers, filp caps & levels and finally just bought the new Spectre in 1-10x28, 34mm tube!

The Specter is good. They will release a BDC reticle version soon.

@@Moondog2A Yeah, that reticle they're using, like you mentioned, is the one thing I'm not in love with. Their throw lever fits nicely and makes it easier to adjust. ;)

Thanks for the sub! Before you buy, Monstrum's rolling out a new reticle called the BDC1 which I'm testing out right now, so you might like that one. It's a BDC style with a circular center but not lie the PA ACSS.

I prefer this take on unboxing. Btw the budget 1-6x LPVO that I'm interested in is the Primary Arms Classic Duplex with illuminated center dot; not much about it on KZfaq yet.

If you like a Classic Duplex you'll probably like this LPVO's reticle. It's essentially a duplex with some additional hashes. I picked up a Primary Arms ACSS but there are so many vids on that. Hope you subscribed.

Follow up: I purchased the 1x8 zeroed it at the range came back home and after cleaning dropped my AR (6.5 pounds) about 2 feet directly on top of scope. At the moment I thought I broke the scope mount or scope turrets or something had to be broken but it looked ok I didn’t find a scratch and it dented my solid wood floor. I went to the range very next morning to see if the scope was still zero and to my surprise it was still spot on at 100 yards no adjustments needed. All I can say is kudos to Monstrum 💪

Thanx for the review. I had some high hopes for this reticle. It would be nice if they (the stadia marks) were/are easier to see at something other than max brightness. That said, one can shoot a long ways with a 6x. ;-)

Well done. I agree with another's comment on the unboxing. When one starts the opening of the box, removing contents one at a time, and describing each piece... Well by then, I've lost interest by the sheer tedium... Even known to exit the video because it wastes so much time. By laying out the contents and labeling them spread out of the table is vastly better!👍

Good point. I have removed the soundtrack in my newest scope review videos. But if you can't hear it over low level music, the clicks aren't loud enough IMHO.

Did you focus the Diopter , I forget we are looking those a camera an video, the one I have is super clear for a budget, an at this point I might not label it budget, but a great entry level LPVO

Yes,as well as I could since cameras auto focus. but remember the diopter is for focusing the reticle vis a vie the objective focus. I'm more concerned with these videos with the objective sharpness of the target image rather than recording a flat reticle.

I'm gonna try a Monstrum guardian on my 22. , haven't decided zoom , can get a solid bushnell for 99 $ but I want a different reticle

Glass and build quality at the 99 price point is similar for both brands (I think Monstrum is slightly better actually) so I'd go with the the scope that has the reticle you prefer.

Any G3 scope they make is great 👍 i got a FFP 4-18X for $150 (open box) Best value out of any scope i have 😅 They also have a 7075 scope mount thats amazing for the price 😅 i have some of tue reviews on my channel in the Armory playlist 😅

The G3 is great for the price. A little heavier than the competition but if you're not back country hunting, that should't be an issue.

You get what you pay for. I'm thinking about putting this on my 10/22 just to get magnification and these are very inexpensive and honestly just to try a cheap scope out. The glass is definitely as expected, I'm not expecting a super crisp image at 6x but just from the camera I was very surprised.

Right on. I'm not a huge fan of this reticle. But at less than 1/2 the price of a Athlon Argos LPVO. I don't need the Athlon's better glass quality for close-to-medium range targets. Hope you subscribe.

They were running a 1/2 off special on the new 1-10x28 34mm with mount & caps for around $130! I snagged one and was very pleased! I mounted it on a 6.5 grendel. Our deer season starts this Saturday!!

I've purchased several items on his recommendations, the Spectre was about a month ago now. He drops several vids a week; Friday deal alert is his most prominent.

If you zero for 36 yards, it'll be zeroed for 300 yards also. Gives you an overall better accuracy between 25-300 yards.

You can shoot accurately at 700 yards. 200-300 yards is easy with iron sights with an AR 15.

After 2 or 3 mags of .223 with my monstrom 1x6 lvpo, it literally fell apart. The optic wouldnt illuminate and the magnification ring came loose and wouldnt tighten back down.

They have a lifetime warranty, even if you are past the return date on Amazon you can contact Mostrum for a replacement if it's faulty parts.

Contact Monstrum and send it back. I had that happen with a CVLife red dot I just tried this weekend but they don't have a lifetime warranty like Monstrum so I'm SOL.

I got mine a couple weeks ago. Instead of the kill flash I got a janky shade tube that is not the same thread OD as the scope thread ID so it's loose. I contacted them wanting to buy or trade the kill flash but they refuse to acknowledge me. Too bad because that's enough for me to stay away from other purchases.

Keep on emailing them. They have a tiny office staff and may be away at a trade show somewhere. They sometimes take weeks to get back to me too.
