when the sun is out , go dump a bucket of cement (powder/unmixed) on each stone pile then sprinkle with some water just to moisten and activated the cement. this will harden the pile, keeping the bottom rocks from sinking easily down the mud and safe for motorcycle.

I saw you putting nipa shingles over you GI roof, that could cause water not to flow down properly if you do not have enoug roof pitch. And the nipa shingles if the pitch of the roof is too low there is a tendency of back flow so water will pool between the nipa and GI roof, if that happens leaks will eventually happen. I also think your roof trusses or rafters are too far apart, that will make purlins to move in high winds and if somebody walks on the roof, if the purlins move the tendency of hole on the GI sheet to widen around the nails thus leaks could happen.

you need to dump soil first to make it dense then after use a rocks. just get some soil from each neighborhood so you dont need to spend money
@allanbalbuena36597 ай бұрын
Maybe it’s better to put the GI sheet on top of the old sheet, your roof is thicker than usual.

I fix leaky roofs for a living and I wish I can be there to help you but I’m all the way in Toronto.😅
@Ignite1157 ай бұрын
Have the roofing sheets redone. That’s where the leaking starts. They didn’t do a proper overlapping of the sheets and probably the fasteners(nails) are not driven in properly.

You can’t use any sealant if the surface getting treated is wet. Hard to do that type of job in the rainy season

Wish you could cement the road going to your house. I watched your vlog for a long time just to see your house finished. Just in time for Christmas 😎🎄 Will you put solar panels? it’s strange your bathroom is black. Perhaps a light colour so it looks clean and neat.

Tal, if I were you I would disapprove of that super thin sheet to use in your house...Tsk tks...

If the soil is dense enough the rock it should be OK, If it is too soft, they will eventually get pushed down under the dirt. Ya Get someone on the roof that knows what the frick they're doing. Don't put the nipa back. Can't see it anyway

Is this a re-upload? I don't see your dog and the new chicken enclosure, your new shed attached to the back. House is still under construction and surfboard isnt mounted at the top of the stairs.

The rocks as good as ur intentions are, they sink and dissappear into the mud verry quickly. Like it wasnt done

Hi mate, that tin is crappy. When mine was built, I stipulated the thickest possible. And I had it screwed in, no nails anywhere. I wouldn't put nippa leaves over the tin, anything that holds moisture is a sure thing to cause rust in the future. Think you need more tin overhanging on all sides to stop water being blown in. I've also had issues with roads or tracks. Nobody wants to spend or help. They always expect the foreigner to pay. Maybe you can see the barangay chairman to force the builder to repair his work. They have great power in the community!
@nelsonlomod96017 ай бұрын
Government will not spend for a road not its own. You should have spent for the best roof materials in the first place. Repeat works is expensive and the material cost, you should also have adjust the roof pitch a few degrees ti ensure water flow.

I love your house 🏡 it’s slowly getting better ❤👏👍 Sounds like my mother’s house that we spend so much money before it was solved. 😢 don’t despair my friend, I understand how you feel because I helped finance my mother’s house 🏡.

Since these roads are sort of private property maybe it is really difficult to ask the government to do the job for these roads

Your contractors are NOT really a builder. I think they are just a DIY contractor, and they are milking the heck out of you.
@nanbolz22387 ай бұрын
Smh. I know how it feels. I know we will have to go through that once we retire over there. But that's life in the Philippines. It is what it is. You can either choose to fight it or fix it. I know we will have to choose fixing some road problems. **shrugs** As for the leak problem, how about if you ask the help of an engineer?

Mr Tal FYI foreigners are not allowed to own lands in PH its not wise for you to construct a house in a land you can never own Foreigners in PH have very limited rights you should consider South America Italian settlers there got rich & were poor farmers in Italy PH is heaven on earth for rich Filipinos only
@aboveitall96007 ай бұрын
It’s legal for foreigners to do long term prepaid lease. You can legally lease for 25 years and renew for another 25. 50 years is a long time. I agree it’s not ideal. It’s not for everyone. I strongly suggest renting. Or putting the property in the name of children in common with a Filipino Citizen.
