PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION!
NOTE: This is an airsoft video!
In this video I will be splicing together my two Umarex/VFC H&K VP9 pistols. Puttin the black steel parts kitted and Deluxe Asia Edition full trademark slide on the tactical gray lower frame.
I will also be installing the Ace 1 Arms VP9 SilencerCo replica threaded outer barrel.
Unfortunately everything did not go as smoothly as I had hoped and it turns out there are some strange differences between the Asia Edition and the Euro Edition VP9s which make certain components less than compatible... :-|
Hope you guys enjoy! Please remember to subscribe, like and share!

Chris, I would do so instead. Because the grey version is missing real markings on the frame, I would just buy some grey spray can in Clas Ohlson :) and paint the black frame grey. Without replacing anything. Of course I would have masked the levers on the frame first.

Oooh, don't know about Clas Ohlson spray paint, I would have to go with Cerakote but that could work :)

I've got a real H&K VP9 and it it's mind blowing how real these things look.... if I didn't see the internals I honestly would not have thought that was a bb gun. I think I want to get one of these for training because 9mm is not exactly cheap right now and It could actually be a great peace of kit for training on a lot off stuff and practice on draw to 1st shot timings. Very cool.stuff. I can see why people get so into air soft... I always thought they were cheap toys I had no idea they were so close to the real thing. That could be a serious training aid when not shooting 9mm. Very cool video. I'm extremely interested in this now.

Always nice to see a real shooter break the barrier over into airsoft and not just saying "GAAAY!" (as a comment not to far below this one). Airsoft is great for training purposes and the higher end ones are very good replicas. For the VP9 there are some upgrade options in terms of steel slides and barrels for more realistic weight and feel etc.

Great video, sad that you had to compromise on an Hk (no compromise) gun.

Nah, not a real VP9 barrel. It is an Ace 1 Arms replica of the SilencerCo VP9 threaded outer barrel :D

I really wish I could say yes because, with the risk of sounding a bit narcissistic, I think my videos are really good and useful and nicely made. I enjoy the process of making the video as much as the end result, if that makes sense. My OCD gets satisfied with color calibration and video editing etc. But I just have not had urge or energy to produce more videos. Sort of like life in general I guess, just a bit *mweh*. Look through the back catalog of videos in the mean time ;-)

Having the same issues with my Ace 1 threaded barrel installation on a gray frame VP9 (swapping the stock threaded barrel for the Ace1 threaded barrel). I'm honestly getting kind of pissed off now after an hour of fiddling with what should be a simple barrel swap. If I buy a product advertised for direct fit to the VP9 and after a month of waiting for shipping and the damn thing won't even install, that's not right to me. Any advice on how to remedy the problem? Would be greatly appreciated man.

Yeh. Installing the hop and barrel can be a bit tricky. Make sure the guide rod is seated properly in the slide and hop up unit. Over rotate the takedown lever by a few degrees. Put the slide on and if it gets stuck wiggle the guide rod a little as it goes on. And then once it is on you might have to press the muzzle of the barrel and possibly the inner barrel backwards into the frame for it to seat properly and for you to be able to engage the disassembly lever back into the locked position.

@@CJAwesome83 I did this. Slide finally was able to be mounted on the frame but it is not right. It looks good. However when I pull the slide back, no spring pressure and it does not retract back into battery and the slide catch won't engage. I test fired it for two shots and it does fire but because I had to push the inner barrel back to install the slide, it is putting undue wear on the lower side of the muzzle and on the breach of the slide. It's not right, despite it looking like it's mounted right.

@@CJAwesome83 really frustrating that it is meant for this gun yet it won't install. I reinstalled my OEM threaded barrel without any issues in 30 seconds after i struggled for over an hour with the Ace1 barrel. Not sure what else to do at this point but cut my losses and not be able to use my Ace1 compensator I bought

Hi dude, nice video but I have a question: In your opinion, what's the probably best 2 o 3 airsoft pistols to buy? Don't tell me TM Hi capa 5.1 if you're thinking on that, I know it's very recommended. Thank you!

Depends on what you want to use them for :D Hmmm... I will assume GBB is the choice, and preferably full metal, and that you want to use them to actually play airsoft with as a sidearm. In no particular order: KWC/Cybergun 1911 CO2 series is a great all around sidearm/pistol WE Glock series, can be made to be a great pistol with minor upgrades and you can do all kinds of builds from them KJW MEU or Sig Sauer pistols, great price/performance, durable, CO2 capable and can be upgraded.
@davidmartinez927

Non Existent Damn, KZfaq didn't noticed me. That's what I wanted, full metal, GBB, gas/co2. I don't like KWC at all because of the spare parts, hard to find. WE gen4 glocks are better than KJW new KP17 Glocks? They're pretty affordable and has gas/co2 option. KJW MEU is a model I love a lot. Did you seen the Secutor rebrands of the Kjw MEU? They are called Secutor Rudis, sweet guns, never touched one but definitely want one :D Other than that I have a KJW SP-01, love the aesthetics (CZ75 based models are beautiful), but I'm a bit upset about hop and upgrades compatibility, standard Marui based Barrels like PDI don't fit, so it's hard to find something for the Shadow (or nothing, because the only inner barrel I found was a Falcon in ehobyasia and they don't sell it anymore). Lastly, I wrote at you because of the VP9. I really love that gun, but no one is recommending this pistol, the only thing I heard are problems (bad precision, broken parts, not functional). Is it right or has successful fixes? Thank you for your time mate, great work!
@CJAwesome83

+DaveM. Hmmm... I would say WE vs. KJW Glock 17 are about the same out of the box. KJW tends to be a little bit more rugged and reliable over time but I think I would prefer WE actually. But then again KJW offers both gas and CO2 ability "out of the box". WE might have some internals that can't handle pro-longed use of CO2. As for the VP9... I like it, it looks great, feels great, but unfortunately what you heard is true, it would not be a gun I can recommend for playing airsoft with. As with most VFC/Stark Arms pistols. Just too many flaws and problems.

Sad to read this :( I don't know if you're agree, but at least when you touch, see and take a VFC pistol you feel quality, well replicated replica, good looking... Why they make good looking replicas and completely fucked internally? I mean, it seems that they have the tools to make good pistols, so why that crap internals :( the saddest part of that is that they make replicas that nobody has in the market (like FNX, FNS9, this VP9, PPQ...) and it's the only option if you want one. Okay, I'll completly desestimate the VP9. Maybe in the future another brand... I think I'll go to KP17, in spain is cheaper than WE's glocks and seems to be more reliable. Thanks again!

Yup. SA/VFC pistols are just that. Nice looking and accurate replicas but not at all suitable for actually using when playing airsoft :p Sad but true.
