It is good to see you giving this company the exposure they deserve. Howa rifles are such a great value. Their quality is truly exceptional. My 7mm Rem Mag has become one of my very favorite rifles, and for good reason. I plan to add a couple more Howas to the stable. Great video!

Thanks for the vid guys, my howa came with the detachable mag installed and when I tried to revert it to the hingeplate I couldn't get the box mag assembly to go in. Good to know I just needed to apply more force

from what i heard stainless bull barrels do not get made with cold hammer forge process and is not as accurate as blued gun in the 6.5 creedmoor?

Great that helps although I've been going back forth on a 270 & 308. We have axis deer, goat, mouflan, pig, & razorback on the big island. Leaning towards the 308 because of availability but would like to be able to shoot further with the 270. Any chance of you hunting here in Hawaii? More compound bow hunting of pigs here on Oahu.

So Randy...does Howa glass bed their rifles during assembly or do I need to have a gunsmith do that after purchase?

It’s cheaper to just buy the whole new rifle from some other site and building it after, than it is to build through brownells. That’s if they have stuff in stock.

I know this is an older video but I’m curious to know why you chose the 7mm-08 vs 270? or even your standard 7mm? Just curious because I’m looking to expand my next rifle caliber. I already own a 300 win mag and love it. Was thinking about the 270 but your 7mm and 7mm-08 has me curious. I’m a big believer in terminal ballistics. That’s why I chose a 300 win mag but with some of these bullet advancements (especially solid copper bullets) you can take about anything down to a 270 or possibly 243. Know anyplace that rebores Howa rifles good? I have a Howa 1500 rebored 6.5 Grendel, and was wondering if I'd be able to rebore it to a 6.5 Creedmor or something at least bigger than the 6.5 Grendel. Looks like it's a heavy barrel too. If nothing then do you know any place that sells 6.5 Grendel rounds?

Can I order direct from Legacy Sports. Reason is because i cannot find the alpine series 7mm-08 with the traditional floor plate. All the packages come with the new drop down mag kit. I want to get one but with the traditional floor plate. Also, brownells doesn't carry the Legendary Arms Stocks, Does Legacy Sports sell the L.A. stocks with bedded actions as a kit? or do I need to bed my own stock once I buy one?

I could not find the alpine mountain rifle on howas website and got no response to an email. "Frown".

If I could have walked in and chosen anything it'd be one in a 375 Ruger with the walnut stock.

so it should be no problem to get a multicam long range with scope package that is shown in the catalogue but nobody seems to carry or know about.

Randy, I've watched too many of your videos and you really have me leaning towards swapping out my Remington 700 XCR II 300 win mag and buying a Howa Alpine Mountain Rifle. Dragging that 10lb cannon up the mountains in Alaska is exhausting. My research started over a year ago when I was pretty set on buying a Kimber Mountain Accent or Hunter. After reading reviews people talked of the Kimber not the best accuracy. Odds are its the shooter/lack of time with their rifle that is causing the bad shots and not a "bad rifle". Now the question that I've been rolling around in my head... Does the Alpine Mountain meet all my needs? Lightweight... check Kill a sheep, goat, caribou, moose and bear... Check. Shot placement and stepping up to a 168g bullet should do the trick. Range inside of 300... check Range outside of 300.. this is where I start to scratch my head. Given the options of available calibers, the 6.5 creedmore seems to have the best long-range capability making it a good choice for sheep and goat. But I also want the proven knockdown power of the 308 or 7mm-08. So is there one that does it all? Which would you grab for an every hunt gun given my needs? Also, out of all the rifle brands why did you choose Howa? Thanks for your time and advice, Casey And from a previous comment I made on a video. Sure, Ill let you buy me a beer.
