I’ve seen others build the roof rake fully on the ground so it’s basically like a ladder. Then they put it in place and attach it and they don’t have to struggle to get the facia board on after the fact. I’m sure it would be heavy and awkward fully assembled to move by yourself so having your dad to lift it in place would definitely help. Kens Karpentry is an example of where I’ve seen them do that.

Maybe a 4x4 atv is a better option? With a winch on the Front to connect to trees if you get stuck

next time take some sand bags with you for slippery sections. or you could get a winch on your tractor and pull yourself up the slippery parts lol

have you tried backing the tractor up the path with the weight of the engine on the front wheels? You mentioned it was 4wheel drive i think. Just curious. Keep up the great videos!

Holy Woodness Imfreezingmybuttness baby!!!! Watching you this Saturday morning in my flannel pajamas and on my 2nd cup of hot coffee I am in complete awe of how you are out there in the cold by yourself trying to build this cabin. I am not jealous lol. Everything is amazing on how it is coming along and I give you credit on how much work you get done alone. You seriously need to think about this road being addressed because you could drive your vehicle right up to site and not have to worry about using the tractor unless it’s something special. I’m glad you’re wearing safety gear because you need to be around for your inspectors. Thanks for getting after it and keeping us entertained.

What's the plan long-term for the path up to the cabin? If you haven't already thought of it, could be worth creating a zig-zag track and/or going round the hill more to smooth out the slope a bit rather than taking a direct line upwards. Should make it easier to get up and down when the conditions make a steeper direct line impassable!

Why don’t you temporarily close your openings with some vapor barrier like plastic? Snow will stay out and it will be warmer inside. Love your journey.

@@WoodnessGoodness Just add a few “x” made with 1x3 and you’re good to go. The wind will break and vapour barrier is really tough.
