in this video we build a mount for the sprayer to attach on the rear of the l2800 kubota tractor. we also test out the broadcast sprayer with some ortho ground clear on the gravel parking area.

Nice mount. I strap the same kind of tank into my front bucket with the wand zip tied to box scraper behind. I plug the pump into the head light circuit so I can turn it on and off.

Nice work. Lawnmower wheels ok as long as they are steel and not plastic. I gotta do the same thing but for controlling grass fires. Here in far NE Washington state grass fires are not uncommon. They move fairly slowly and just a little bit of water will knock them down.

thanks I never thought of fire line control. that is a great idea. this broadcast sprayer part did a great job to. I was really impressed because it sort of looked cheap and cheesy but actually worked well.

for sure he cant get close enough to me most of the time. I think I'm the one with separation anxiety when he is not with me. which is rare.

Dave have you ever thought of volunteering at the local high school / trade school. You may find it very rewarding to help educate the next generation on machining, welding, etc

thats a great idea. the closest I have came is mentoring the local kids near me that take an interest in that stuff. Brandon use to come here every day but now he is grown and chasing girls and working so i rarely see him much

That turned out nice Dave, should have that area cleaned up in no time, I'm out of Glysophate but I have been using the stuff from Tractor supply (41% glysophate), and think the lawnmower wheels would hold it, unsure of how they would be for moving it around/transport, thinking I would prefer just a "stand" but I know you'll get it figured out, or like me learn something, and I do a bunch of that😬😂😂😂

yes and I not only learn something but get a good chuckle of my mistakes. lol ha ha. I went with two lawn mower wheels. I'm thinking of adding a dolly handle that is removable maybe and just dolly it around where I need to for installing it on the tractor.

Bought something similar last week from tractor supply. I’m putting it in the back of my side by side.

that is really what this one was designed for a four wheeler or SXS. it seems to work well on the tractor though

Nice seeing Coppa make another appearance in the video. The plans for your sprayer platform makes sensse and will make toting it around a breeze. When you said you were making legs for it, I thought you were makinglonger legs so that when you're done spraying ut will be a foot or two off the ground but the way you designed it, you can just back up to some stacked inder blocks and prop the sprayer atop it for a resting place. BTW, just curious. Do you keep iron stock on hand all the time or do you replenish just for projects? I was curious b/c you seem to always have just the right pieces to do your jobs 😁. Alright brother, emjoyed a full-warch and your sprayer is a hit. I need one of those to spray the ditch at the front of my land. That ditch gets full of weeds and small trees all throughout the year and it's an eye sore. I like how your sprayer sprayed out a nice swath which would be ideal for my driveway path that seems to always make a green weed path in the center. Okay brother I'll let you go. Take it easy anad take good care of Coppa. He's always needing you around. I love his deep bay voice. Don 👍🏽🤠 6/19/23

I just use what ever I have collected and laying around for the most part. this stuff in this project was left over from a previous project on the shaker build. they would not sell me any less than 175 dollar minimum so I had to buy a couple extra pieces to get to that amount. of course I saved atleast that much buying from this distributer. they only cater to big companies and larger accounts. I sort of wished the legs were longer but it was what I had on hand. most of my neighbor know I take scrap metal so anything they have I try and pick up and keep what is usable for projects the rest get cashed in at the scrap yard. I ended up putting two wheels on it and that way I can dolly it around even when it has fluid in it. hopefully the wheels help with installing back on the tractor. I was really impressed with the broadcast sprayer part it did very well. I may do a small mod to it in the future.good seeing you my friend. Coppa says hey!!!

Nice mount. Instead of weed killer, how about using your tractor and box blade to instantly get rid of the grass and freshen up the gravel? Make a video about it.
@daveknowshow

that is what I had been doing was just turning it over with the road blade and then finishing it with the boxblade. this is just something I thought I would try and see how it works. most of the vegetation is gone now so I'm impressed with how fast it actually worked just wondering how long it will last. lol good hearing from you my friend.

I had a dog that had seperation anxiety. It was a terrible experience. He destroyed a lot of stuff.

so far he has not destroyed much. thankfully I hope that does not start. he is getting more protective of his home boundary. he chased after the fedx man first time that has happened since I got him.

I have a problem with weeds growing through in my block paved drive, drives me crazy trying to rid the growth. I spray by hand, but what I can buy domestic garden weed killer that doesn't seem strong enough. Did you get yours from an agricultural store?

no just got it at the big box store lowes. seems to work but its an ongoing battle. claims to last a year but barely lasted a couple months.
