Hey Rich Great tip with the sealed bearings. You need a set of the Tamiya side cutters, the craft set (I think they are called 01), they cut parts of the tree beautifully flush with the edge. No need to trim with the Exacto at all. Just snip! Excellent upload for people new to the hobby.

The recommended brushed motor for the vintage 2wd buggies is a 18x2 turn mega kyosho motor if you can find one.

Thanks to your video, it solved my diff problem, couldn’t work out why it wouldn’t turn with the cover on, you socket idea to seat the bearings , solved it.

Man, I know the modern buggies handle way better than the old ones, but the old ones look waaaayyyy better IMHO

Nice! do you know what makes the rear A arms lay back further did they use a new plate they mount on than what the scorpion uses?

Another great video Rich! I always use Loctite on any metal to metal parts whether it calls for it or not. Would a 22.5 turn 550 can size brushed motor work? Interesting that there is no adjustability on the motor. I will have to pick one up and build me another kit.

Is there a bearing in the rear trailing arm for the out drive?

I oiled the trailing arms where they hook on the chassis

I had to rebuild my diff. Any advice on this? I've got grease in the screw holes, so threadlock won't work... Hmm.

To get your bearing on the diff freeze the diff and warm up the bearing, should go right on without force.

29:36 I have an issue… when I tighten the screws on the bottom, the suspension trailing arms becomes stiff and very hard to move… if I back off the bottom screws by a 1/4 turn then they loosen up… but when I tighten the bottom screws the arms stop moving… it happens with both the left and the right… any suggestions? I might have to post a video in order to explain

@@TheRCNetwork Figured it out.. the rearmost piece that holds the rod was upside down.. I always thought parts like that were "fat side down" but I was wrong.. after looking at the instructions again... the thin side faces down.. when I flipped them over, everything came together butter smooth

ItzBlue they did a vintage revenue because real rc gearheads find thus sort of thing interesting or maybe there a kid in fucking...i don't know the middle of Iowa somewhere who's never even heard of the turbo scorpion who's interested......basically they understand that your not the only person watching their channel.
